What if?

What if:

There really is a multiverse. It must be a crowded place. Could this be an explanation for ghosts, watchers, and other assorted nasties? If each universe is an enclosed bubble surrounded by trillions of other universes, is it possible that occasionally two universes would "bump" weakening the barriers and thus allowing passing glimpses into alternate realities? Would these universes be aligned so that geographic locations would be adjacent in respect to each other? So many questions. It's kind of comforting to think that in another universe someone, or something is staring back at us saying "Holy crap, did you just see what I saw? No one's gonna believe this. Yes, I got a picture, but it's kinda blurry."  As I had my math skills removed years ago by a head injury I can only speculate now on the physics involved. Is each universe surrounded by by a membrane of dark matter keeping each universe apart? If so, could the big bang be explained by a lack of dark matter that allowed two universes to collide? So many questions and so little understanding. Thank you, Neil Degrass Tyson for opening my mind to think about something other than whats for lunch.

Here's a little thought experiment to consider. What if there isn't a multi-verse, but instead in every existing galaxy there is an earth. On that earth there is a version of you living their own life. Completely unaware that you on this earth, in this galaxy exist.

When I was a lonely kid, sometimes at night I'd look up at the stars at night and wish there were another me out there and we could be friends.

Wait, if... no, I would....but, there would be...Hmmm, wait a minute, I seem to remember this plot in a Jet Lee movie. When I die, all of the other me's get a small piece of my soul, and grow inestimably (sp)smarter and stronger. As the me's die, the remaining me's continue to grow and evolve until there is only one left. Perfect, immortal, and the very peak of evolution without ever knowing how many me's went into making me. Mind=Blown. Thanks for the mind worm, Xeno,

That was a very cool read. I'm going to take that and add a "what if". What if all the universes are interconnected in a giant lattice, surrounded by dark matter with an umbilical cord that attaches to each universe. When a universe expands to much it pushes into the dark matter and forms a lobe. Kind of like blowing up a balloon. But the dark matter is stronger and squeezes the lobe into a long tunnel with a huge ball at the end. The dark matter finally wins and snaps the tether creating the big bang. So what I think this astronomer may have found is the Universe's belly button. What if.
