Pettytalk 1,756 Posted December 4, 2021 Report Share These days I find all these debates on the existence of God amusing, to say the least. The debates, where one side has scientifically, highly educated scholars refuting the other side. Where this other side has highly educated scholars too, theologians, and a few, both theologian and scientist. How is battle of wits conducted? It's conducted by refutation. And what is the weapon of choice? One side chose theory and the other chose faith. The irony of it all! Theory against Faith...there can be no clear winner, because how can one opinion defeat another opinion, when it comes down to truthful knowledge? And to say more, I say that it's a soon-to-be moot point, since these times will put an end to all the debating, once and for all. As something wicked comes our way, to be lighted. And once lit, will be placed on a high place, radiating its light to illuminate and inflame those mindless, highly imaginative theoretical beasts, cavernous brain dwellers, who still choose to remain chained prisoners by their own device; too much brains, leaving no room for any modest doubt to think about. They think they know it all, theoretically speaking, they know nothing too, so claims one knight championing the earthly kingdom, and belonging to the clan of the manly scoffers of religious faith, mocking anyone for their personal belief in a higher power, one higher than manpower, beyond any shadow of a doubt. These scoffers are not new, just different, as they are a modern version of the old school of sophists, the school where they believe "man to be the measure of all things." The other side believes they have God on their side, and therefore they give the yardstick to God, to be the measure of all thing. The yardstick is calibrated for accuracy on a daily basis, and is especially keen on measuring man, where God uses His eyeball for seeing who on the round earth is good and who's bad, and who's in between, which is the ugly. The calibration standard for the yardstick measurement is Gold. And the quantity of gold, when more than one can safely carry, has a big part in the making one good, one bad, and another ugly. The ugly is the one hanging by a rope, but having an angel near by.. Most importantly, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. “Where is the promise of His coming?” they will ask. “Ever since our fathers fell asleep, everything continues as it has from the beginning of creation.” 1 Link to comment
markdohle 6,068 Posted December 4, 2021 Report Share Good points. It is also entertainment, sort of like political debate for many. 1 Link to comment
