It has been written that Jesus has allegedly told his disciples that they can exorcise demons and unclean spirits. Mark 3:15 and Mark 6:7. Christianity isn’t the only faith that can do so but more on that later as I focus on the version of demon be gone that gets the most predominant amount of the spotlight.
Bob Larson tells us quite proudly that he has done battle with tens of thousands of demons. In the clip below he does battle with an incest demon. This may be too disturbing for some to watch so use your best discretion. Years ago I thought he was on the up and up when it came to defeating Satan and his cohorts, I first started questioning his claim when I saw an interview where he claimed to have exorcized something along the lines of 5-10 thousand demons.

There have been controversies surrounding exorcism’s, one in particular is the case of anneliese Michel which the movie exorcism of Emily Rose was very loosely based on, or at least the court case.There are still deaths to this day due to this religious rite despite the fact we have a much better understanding of the human mind.
When the Exorcist came out in 1973 there was a very renewed interest in the subject and is in my opinion the catalyst for the modern day demon be gone craze. Other than christianity what other religions perform exorcisms? Buddhism/Tibetan, Islam, Hinduism, Judaism, and Taoism. There are documentaries on youtube about taoist exorcisms that range in time from 20-60+ minutes. As a non taoist I cannot verify if the techniques are genuine in taoism. Are they less invasive than the Christian ones? Simply put I don’t know.
