Comments: Okay, if you are faint of heart, this book is probably not for you. As I opened up this book, I got the chills as I read in the foreword about William Burt that enjoyed watching his loving wife sleep. His wife in 1896, caught her husband standing over her and dismissed it as simple odd behavior. The next year Anna's husband took a hatchet and killed Anna and his 2 daughters. In this book, you get one chilling story after another. Richard Estep talks about arsenic poisoning that was first misdiagnosed as gastric fever. You will learn about the misdeeds of the lady, Mary Ann Cotton as she delivers arsenic to several members of her family. Get the scoop on the forty whacks of Lizzie Borden! Get some more ax murdering with the story of Abel Clemmons of Clarksburg, Virginia. Do you like baseball? There is a story in here about Marty Bergen. Marty could have made it in the Baseball Hall of Fame. Marty was a great baseball player, but unfortunately, he had some mental issues. Mental issues that caused him to murder 3 family members with an ax and then taking a straight razor and slitting his own throat! If you like true life crime stories, then this is the book for you. This book is no holds barred. You will get the scoop on the murder of Marvin Gaye. You will shake in your chair as you read about the killer Ronald Gene Simmons that took it upon himself to slaughter 16 members of his family. You will get a deep inside look at the greedy Menendez brothers who killed their mother and father, so they could spend their parent's money. You will wonder what possessed two brothers Michael and Robert Bever to go on a rampage and kill their parents and 3 of their siblings.
Family, Friends, and Neighbors has one chilling story after another. After the first page, I couldn't put this book down. If you love being creeped out, then this is the book for you!
