Dyer Lane is a very spooky place. A place with wicked leaning trees.  Chalk outlines of human bodies on the road. Satanic graffiti on trees, on wooden posts and on the street. There are urban legends galore at Dyer Lane. Are they true?  Who knows, but I do know that every urban legend has some foundation of truth. 

 

Some of the urban legends are: 

1. KKK would have their meetings at Dyer Lane and lynched a man named Tyrone.  

2. The Satanic Order of Amdusias held their meetings at Dyer Lane and were known to wear red robes.

3. The spirit of a farmer on his tractor is seen in the fields.

4. A phantom police vehicle is sometimes seen on the road.

5. A ghostly hitchhiker is sometimes seen walking along Dyer Lane. 

 

And then there are the Cursed Witches of Dyer Lane. I talked with a lady named Elizabeth, who doesn't want to be fully identified. Elizabeth claims that her grandmother is familiar with the witch's coven that would meet in the fields of Dyer Lane. The witch's coven was named "Morrigan's Coven". The coven worshipped the warrior goddess Morrigan. Morrigan is the goddess of war and death. Goddess Morrigan is seen as 3 entities in one. The urban legend goes that on one particular night that was selected by the Coven, that the supreme warlock laid out 7 witches on the ground and one by one, was intimate with the witches. The witch that would receive the Warlock's release became the sacrificial lamb. As the warlock plunged a knife into the witch, another witch came to her defense and cursed the land. The warlock then plunged the knife into the chest of the other witch, killing them both. To this day the two witch's spirits are seen walking along Dyer Lane.
