Why do ghosts hide? When I investigated St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery and Lakeside Cemetery Mausoleum with paranormal investigator Cherie Vincent previously two times before, the ghosts seemed to thrive at Cherie's attention. Enough to be recorded on Cherie's digital audio recorder saying things..."we are above the trees", "we miss you". When there is a flock of H.P.I. (Haunted and Paranormal Investigations of Northern California) paranormal investigators that hit the scene, they seem to be afraid of us. They seem to hide. The first time when I investigated these locations with Cherie, I asked to be touched and in a matter of 5 seconds, I was touched. I bled from my knee for no apparent reason and the touch was hot. When the bleeding stopped and I looked at my leg, there was the impression of a thumb on my left knee. I asked to be touched tonight and absolutely nothing happened. Of course, I am writing this article before all of the facts come in play. Did we get anything on this third investigation in Folsom, California on June 29, 2007, Friday with a big full moon out? We'll find out later in FINDINGS and CONCLUSION.

Well, I do know we did get something, I guess I better explain myself. But, can we discuss what I witnessed later on in this article? For right now, let's concentrate on how this investigation got started. The 'flock' as I mentioned before met up first at Snooks Candies & Ice Cream. I picked up Jennifer 'The Jen Girl' Baca at her home and we rode together to Snooks. I was starving and as I entered the store, I asked for 3 chocolates and they were going to charge me $18.00. What? I have been to Belgium and the chocolate doesn't cost that much. I will continue to starve and find another place to eat. Jennifer and I tried to snag a cheeseburger from some bar/restaurant and the cheeseburgers were taking forever to cook and Jennifer and I decided to leave, we didn't want to miss the beginning of the investigation. Ms. Macabre aka Shannon McCabe, the President of HPI gave us a briefing of what might be expected and allowed me to give a little testimonial of what might occur and what happened to Cherie and I, in our two investigations. Brian Colbert and Cherie actually did their own investigation of these cemeteries and received some EVPs and orb digital shots. Both cemeteries seem to be hotbeds of paranormal activity. Two more investigators jump into my car, known at the Ghost Tracker, they were Michele Stump and newcomer Sparky Parker. This was Sparky's first investigation and she was filled with enthusiasm and we could all feel her excitement.

We broke up into two teams. Cherie Vincent who is very familiar with these cemeteries, was the lead investigator of Team Task Force 1 (TTF1). Shannon was the leader of Team Task Force 2 (TTF2). Everyone took out the necessary ghost hunting equipment for our tasks in these two cemeteries. Robin Black in TTF1 caught many orbs on her digital photos. In one photo, she caught 3 orbs in unison and another photo she captured a green orb. Catherine Vincent (sister of Cherie Vincent) caught pictures that showed an orb following another orb. I will be curious as Shannon finishes editing this article, to see what John Wachter aka Vlawde and Michelle Paykel caught in the 'FINDINGS' part of this article. Vlawde and Michelle were part of TTF1 and are seasoned investigators. Jennifer Baca of TTF1 fighting off hunger pains, managed to continue on with her investigations and let's see later if she discovered anything. Jennifer enjoyed showing Sparky Parker the ropes in this investigation. Now back to TTF2, the group I was in. Michele Stump, Patrick Hedges of Diablo Valley Paranormal, Nick and Christie Martisko, Tim Hawkins, Brian Colbert and I,followed our fearless leader Shannon. When both teams crossed, Cherie Vincent told me to make sure to show the team Dominguez Brum's gravesite. Why? Because Dominguez is a talkative spirit. He definitely enjoys talking with Cherie and I believe Dominguez is the spirit (or one of the spirits) that told Cherie that he missed her. I told the group to look for Dominguez' gravesite and that I was positive that it was in this one location. Okay, I stand corrected, it was 200 yards the other way, thank goodness Brian Colbert who has been here before knew where the gravesite was. Before I knew it, everyone had their digital audio recorders on Dominguez' gravesite. Okay, Dominguez, speak to us. We're all here listening. When I was sitting near this grave, I actually thought I heard an old man's voice directly behind me. I was actually hearing this from my own ears. Nick Martisko was picking something up on his level meter, that indicates if voices are being spoken. After all the attention was given to Dominguez, we moved onto Marie Laqua's grave - born 1842 and died 1922. Michele Stump noticed that her grave was hot, while other graves weren't hot. Tim Hawkins stepped in and decided that the stone from Marie's grave absorbed the daytime heat and that is what we were feeling. Nick took me to the side and he has an EVP, it was a woman's voice that sounded like Minnie Mouse and she was saying 'hello'. Nick and Christie Martisko asked any spirits to make their presence known and from watching 3 pinwheels on this one grave going counter clockwise, then one pin wheel stopped and started going clockwise, while the other two were going counter clockwise. Patrick Hedges of Diablo Valley Paranormal told me that his flashlight turned on, on its own and it's a hard button to push down on his flashlight. How it came on, on its own is beyond me or Patrick. As we teamed up with TTF1, Sparky showed me a digital photo of white mist that she captured on her digital camera. Brian Colbert captured a distinct clear orb. Shannon says..." we love orbs and we hate orbs." I was disappointed that this time I was not touched by an 'entity'. I asked any entity to touch me many times over and after a while, I sounded foolish. I kept looking at my legs to see if there were any bruising and only saw a mosquito at one point of time, preparing for a meal. Swat!!

I saw Chris Grissom walking over from TTF1 and from the appearance of his face, he seemed not to have captured anything.
I still don't know the FINDINGS or CONCLUSION yet, I will leave that up to Shannon to have all data analyzed. But, from the look of things, the investigation did fare well, but not as well as my very first investigation with Cherie. We did capture orbs, Michele Stump captured a digital photo of what looked like 'dancing orbs' and lightning strips'. So far Nick had the first EVP and I am super curious to see if other EVPs were captured. Sparky was still very excited and she is ready for the Mt. Shasta UFO/Bigfoot Investigation that is coming up soon! I still have not seen a full body apparition and I remember as a boy in San Bruno, I would hitchhike down Sharp Park Lane to Pacifica looking for the boy ghost apparition known as the 'Virus'. The story goes that this 14 year old kid had so much acne on his face, his face seemed disfigured. The school kids would tease him and call him the 'Virus'. On a hill near Sharp Park Lane where there are many trees, the school kids followed the Virus and at some point, they took rocks and stoned him to death. It is rumored that a certain day (the anniversary of his death) that he is seen walking down Sharp Park Lane crying. Why can't I see a full body apparation with my own eyes? I am still searching.....searching....and searching. I ended this night, by driving Sparky to her car, she was still filled with enthusiasm. This is good, we need good energy like this. Jennifer Baca, Michele Stump and I, seeked out, not the unknown, but a source of food supplement. We found IHOP in Folsom. Before, I go, I received an email from a reader of my articles and they told me I can find my Room 1408 (referring to the John Cusack movie) by lighting 3 candles in a darkened room and peering through a mirror and summoning "Legion". I don't know if I would ever care to go that far. Legion is a demon made up of many entities of demons and is referenced in the bible and there has been possession cases in which the priest has asked the demons name and the demon says...'we are Legion'. I guess if I am not willing to do something as outlandish as that, I must be a believer. Enough of this demon talk...where is that IHOP waitress?...I'm starving already!!

On their travels through the Caspian Sea they encounter Herman Melville's Moby Dick. Moby Dick harasses the Nautilus for a while, until The Demon Warrior and Iconic projected kindness towards the giant whale.  Moby Dick saw that the Nautilus is no threat and assisted the Nautilus through the Caspian Sea and into the open ocean.  Drawing by Richard Vasseur.
