Meh! Christmas

Piney

836 views

I was under verbal assault from a couple of relatives who noticed a lack of holiday ornamentation on and around this house.......so I thought about it....no way!....I will not demean my yard with inflatable snowmen or Santas but I thought I had my grandmom's old 2/3 scale plastic light up nativity somewhere in the barn <_< hmmmm.... This could be made offensive and humorous I thought.

I went to the barn loft to dig up this and I managed Mary, baby Jesus, a 2/3 scale plastic light up Santa and two 2/3 scale plastic light up snowmen. Knowing my drunk uncles the manger,. Joseph and the three wise men were probably run over and broken with the 4020 (John Deere tractor) or a pickup in the 80s so I had to improvise. hmmmm....

The first thing I noticed was my unused outhouse. It would make a perfect manger. Then I set The 2/3 scale plastic light up Mary and the baby Jesus in it......looks good....but I need a "Joseph". Then I noticed my concrete lawn jockey....Yeah! he would be a good "Joseph" but when I got him to the "manger" (my outhouse) after a lot of dragging and groaning, I noticed he would not fit inside with Mary and Jesus. But hell. He has a lantern so I set him outside like he was just coming back from the "Jackrabbit" (a dirty and horrible convienence store) or holding the light so Mary can "do her thing". Then I decided that Jesus should be visited by the 2/3 scale plastic light up Santa and his two 2/3 scale plastic light up snowmen because my chances of finding three wise men in New Jersey were slim. I just got done setting Santa and his snowman entourage when I noticed "Joseph" (my lawn jockey) was colored. I had to correct this.......hmmmm.

I went back to the barn and returned with a can of brown primer and now both the 2/3 scale plastic light up Mary and the Baby Jesus were colored like "Joseph" (my lawn jockey). deciding to keep the theme "ethnic" I gave Santa some color too but left the snowmen white (I was out of primer). Now my relatives will shut up, I have the only "ethnic" Nativity in the township, my lawn jockey has a few friends and my neighbors really hate me.......... :)

Heck, you probably have it looking closest to the original scene than most other people's nativity sets LOL :tu:

Yup! that's what it is. It is actually one of those faux ones that the local sawmill owner made for me.

Oh please send pictures!!!! :lol::lol:

Two reasons I won't.

1. Somebody will wack it off and use it for a racial "only a N--" joke.

2. I am still waiting for the rest of my "Bigfoot evidence" pics to be emailed to me which is what I wanted to blog about in the first place :hmm: and I have been waiting over a month.

The mental picture is more funny.

On another note the NJBRFC website is being updated with many of my pictures and sighting investigations in it and I will start a thread, a blog and post a link.

Piney gets fined by the cinema management for causing a disturbance and gets charged the cleaning bill! The other oldies in the cinema get popcorn through their blue-dyed beehives and red slushy on their dresses. The new Golden Girls movie was cancelled.
