Fact-Checking Corner Guidelines

This new experimental section of the forums has been designed to tackle the problem of fake news and misinformation by providing a place where members can post and respond to fact-checking requests on news and political topics. 

Each question is posted as a new 'thread', and each response acts as an 'answer'. Members can vote answers up or down depending on their accuracy with the highest voted answer moving to the top and the lowest moving to the bottom.

Members cannot vote their own answers up and down.

It is also possible to vote up the most interesting and relevant questions - the highest ranked will then show in the 'popular questions' tab for the next 30 days.

When posting answers, members should provide links to reputable sources or other information to back up their answer. 

As always, politically inflammatory comments and personal attacks should be avoided.
