Thinking about the joke about you always find something you lost in the last place you look, Its the last place because you found the item you stop looking,

Well its humid as hell here in central Florida trying to find my favorite sunglasses in the car i start in glove box not there, so i get drenched in sweat cleaning the entire car no luck finding my glassses,

I look again in the glove box this time for a tool i had and the tools not there but my sunglasses are there afterall wrapped in a crown royal bag i totally missed the first time, so my glasses were in the first place i looked.

typically I am a regular coffee drinker. I enjoy a nightly cup of coffee to help me unwind from the stress of the day. Do ya'll have any recommendations for flavored coffee? Occasionally I like to switch things up and thought id see what the forum members here like to drink. 

My neighbor a school bus driver just told me a story of a first grader vaping on his school bus. That is incredible and sad…

I am finding that brewing coffee is not as simple as one would think.

I have a Mr. Coffee drip coffee maker and it seems like the quality of the finished brew is not quite what I had hoped, the temperature of the finished brew is around 170 +/- a couple of degrees and in order to get the strength I want I usually use the 'Strong Brew' button and use more coffee ( I also grind the beans in my grinder for about 15 seconds or so to get more flavor out of it).

I have been trying experiments with the temperature of the water that I put in the reservoir to see if that affects anything; in a couple of instances I filled the carafe and set it in the refrigerator for a few hours to see if that did anything and I am unsure if it did however because the fluid temperature of the finished product is less than what is generally recommended that would explain why some of the brands of so-called "really strong coffee" still came out tasting as lackluster as the pre-ground (which I rarely use).

So my choices are to grind the coffee only ten seconds then use the Strong Brew function OR simply use more coffee beans.

I once tried a brand called "Yeti" or something and it was supposed to be really strong yet when I brewed the coffee (it was pre-ground) it didn't taste any better than the Folgers. So my take-away is that the machine just does not produce the water how enough to make a decent pot of coffee.

But then again Mr. Coffee is not, in my view, a machine meant for those of us who expect more out of a cup/mug/pot of coffee.
