The Name of the Beast
Liquid Gardens replied to Bluefinger's topic in Spirituality, Religion and Beliefs
The main issue I see with the claim that the end is near is that it could have been, and I think was, already claimed fairly constantly over the last 2 millennia and didn't happen. Even Jesus thought 'the end' was imminent. -

Doc Socks Junior replied to OverSword's topic in United States and the Americas
No. He decided to complain about the coverage of the "lab leak" idea. Now, the forms that "lab leak" can take range from the somewhat laughable one that I just said, to more reasonable ones. In fact, it's the perfect motte-and-bailey. If Uri is getting fooled by that aspect, or using it himself, he's not that smart. If Uri is ignorant of the full range of idiocy peddled under the banner of the ideas whose coverage he's championing, he's also not that smart. If NPR has proclaimed the idea I laid out in post #28, they would definitely be producing more ideologically-diverse coverage of COVID origins. Looks like the libs are scared of the truth! -

The Bay of Arguin (French: Baie d'Arguin; Portuguese: Baía de Arguim) is a bay on the Atlantic shore of Mauritania and the former mouth of the Tamanrasset River, now a Paleo-river. The bay is the possible location of Cerne, a Carthaginian outpost founded by Hanno the Navigator around 500 B.C. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bay_of_Arguin In the early part of Classical Antiquity, Northwest Africa and Morocco were slowly drawn into the wider emerging Mediterranean world by the Phoenicians, who established trading colonies and settlements there, the most substantial of which were Chellah, Lixus, and Mogador I’ll check those places more tomorrow, enough for now. -

Abramelin replied to Thanos5150's topic in Ancient Mysteries and Alternative History
This whole site, UM, is 'unnecessary"... But apparently many - including me - think differently. Anyway, what really struck me about the Plato Project site was, that the accepted translation of ancient Greek into a modern language was wrong or misty in many places. And the guy who created the site used elementary logic. About the next I'm not that sure about - I read tons of texts today on my day off - but I think the guy calculated the place where to find Atlantis City, and wound up at the Richat Structure of which he knew nothing of. -

🇨🇭Switzerland to allocate 5 billion Swiss francs for Ukraine's recovery by 2036. The funds will be allocated in phases. In particular, by 2028, 1.5 billion Swiss francs will be allocated from the international cooperation budget. In the years 2029-2036, the Federal Council intends to explore other sources (in addition to international cooperation) from which another 3.5 billion Swiss francs can be obtained, the Swiss government's press service reports. It is noted that the country has already allocated approximately 3 billion Swiss francs to support people affected by the war in Ukraine. The State Secretariat for Migration has allocated 2.5 billion of this amount to support Ukrainian asylum seekers in Switzerland. https://t.me/pilotblog/11427
