  2. Here is something else for you to think about? Why you felt it was necessary to break down every sentence in my post and analyze every single word and comment on each sentence as though each sentence had a 'special' meaning? The meaning of my post was rather clear...I think your nuts. Your OCD is over the top in every aspect of your life. But you won't ever see that.
  3. There are few things more appealing than young fluffy animals. From kittens to puppies they are guaranteed to make people say “aww”. However, when it comes to the wild version of young animals they are always best admired from a distance. In an incident in North Carolina, a group of people were witnessed and filmed pulling two black bear cubs out of the low branches of a nearby tree to take selfies with the animals, which is a definite no-no. On April 18, the North Carolina Wildlife Agency responded to a call to assist the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department, after a witness filmed the group of six people dragging the bear cubs out of a tree and taking selfies with them. On arrival, they were told that both cubs had managed to escape from the group, with one cub having reportedly bitten someone. One of the cubs was found and later taken to a rehabilitation center while the other has not been found yet. https://www.iflscience.com/people-caught-on-camera-dragging-bear-cubs-out-of-tree-to-take-selfies-73913
  4. In the jungles of Indonesia, a camera trap has captured footage of a Javan rhinoceros calf, one of the rarest and most threatened large mammals on planet Earth. Spotted alongside its mother, the Javan rhino calf was spotted in Indonesia’s Ujung Kulon National Park on the morning of March 4, 2024. The calf is estimated to be between 3 to 5 months old, but little else is known about the individual – it's not even certain whether it is male or female yet. The video (below) follows previous sightings in 2022 and 2023 that each showed other new Javan rhino calves, suggesting the troubled species is perhaps not as doomed as once thought. https://www.iflscience.com/new-footage-shows-one-of-worlds-rarest-large-animals-is-having-babies-73916
  5. This is primarily why Christianity is so popular. It's called Amazing Grace. The experience is real. The reality of that experience yields one to believe certain things. But in actual reality...when you boil it down to the physical aspect of the human brain...it is a chemical reaction in the brain that causes ALL feelings, All emotions. Ever watched a faith healer like Benny Hill? People line up coming from the aisles to wait their chance to get the power of God's anointing through the hands of Benny Hill. He will lightly tap the person on the forehead, and they will then fall backwards into the arms of waiting clergymen. Ever wonder why that is? Because they are addicted to the 'rush' of that 'feeling' that they attribute to God...when all along it is a trick by Benny Hill to keep drawing them in and give him their money. Actually what it is...they want...NEED...that feeling in their lives. A sudden rush of serotonin in the brain. Did you know that it isn't the narcotic itself that makes one feel the way they feel when they take Heroin? What's actually happening in the brain is that the narcotic releases an incredible amount of neurotransmissions via chemicals in the brain. Heroin addicts will tell you that there is only one Rush...the rest of their existence is trying to feel that same rush again. What you experienced 'begging forgiveness' ...think of that as the catalyst to a chemical response. Nothing more, nothing less. And so, 'experience' doesn't really count for all that much does it? As far as actual truth and reality go? Not so much.
  6. He will say what certain people want to hear with zero self conviction. If you believe he is telling you the truth then you are the sheep that so many accuse others of being. It is childishly easy to say 'the truth' if the truth is dividing people with hatred and lies. His not letting political correctness get in the way would be like saying the klu klux klan doesn't let political correctness get in the way. He will say anything to stay in the news and that is all. He doesn't care about anything he talks about, except his audience numbers and the money he may make off of that.
  7. So would you say that having numerous desires as opposed to mere needs is a healthy trend ! You can satisfy your needs easily, but satisfying numerous desires is bound to be tiresome in the long run .
  8. Didn't Robot Chicken do that? If not, they should have. Harte
  9. The newest tool in the battle to prevent an artificial intelligence (AI) agent from being dangerous, discriminatory and toxic is another AI that is itself dangerous, discriminatory and toxic, scientists say. The new training approach, based on machine learning, is called curiosity-driven red teaming (CRT) and relies on using an AI to generate increasingly dangerous and harmful prompts that you could ask an AI chatbot. These prompts are then used to identify how to filter out dangerous content. The finding represents a potentially game-changing new way to train AI not to give toxic responses to user prompts, scientists said in a new paper uploaded February 29 to the arXiv pre-print server. https://www.livescience.com/technology/artificial-intelligence/scientists-create-toxic-ai-that-is-rewarded-for-thinking-up-the-worst-possible-questions-we-could-imagine
  10. AJ, blaming addiction solely on capitalism is too narrow. Addiction is complicated, influenced by many things like genes and environment. While capitalism has flaws, it also brings benefits like progress and opportunities. We need a comprehensive approach, not just fixing capitalism, to tackle addiction effectively. A more viable approach involves considering all aspects of a person's well-being, including physical, mental, emotional, and social factors. In the context of addressing addiction, a comprehensive approach would involve examining the person’s genetic predispositions, psychological vulnerabilities, social environment, and access to support services.
  11. Being “politically correct” is just premature propaganda for those with ED for DJT. A growing problem for the Republican Party,
  12. Two glass bottles filled with centuries-old cherries were found hidden inside George Washington's historic home in Virginia. Archaeologists made the discovery while conducting ongoing excavations as part of a major revitalization of the mansion, known as Mount Vernon. The bottles, which look like they were made in the 1740s to 1750s, were found buried beneath a brick floor that was laid in the 1770s, according to a Mount Vernon statement. To help preserve the roughly 250-year-old glass bottles, researchers decanted their contents — including cherries, pits, stems and a "gooey residue" — into smaller vessels for future analysis, The Washington Post reported. https://www.livescience.com/archaeology/george-washingtons-stash-of-centuries-old-cherries-found-hidden-under-mount-vernon-floor

    Stopping Illegal immigrants

I'd say it's more than mere nit picking It raises an interesting question as to why those originally from the Indian Sub continent make up a sizeable percentage of the UK workforce that is currently unemployed. But that's not the subject of this discussion. We weren't even talking about those registered unemployed - rather, the much higher number of people who are not working and not seeking employment. Which is a problem. And the reason we need more immigrants to do they jobs they are not doing .....
  14. Analogy is the word you're looking for. You're welcome.
  15. SETI's Bill Diamond is not particularly convinced that we have ever been visited by members of an alien civilization. https://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/news/376465/seti-institute-chief-offers-his-views-on-ufos-and-alien-visitors
  16. This term usually refers to the "Nine Bows", a reference to Egypt's enemies. Here is one representation of them, they also appear on Tutankhamun's sandals so that he is forever trampling them.
  17. Spiritual teacher Joan Tollifson has similarly showed a correlation between desires (as opposed to needs) stimulated by capitalist marketing structures and resultant addiction disorders. Human needs are finite but desires are bound to be unending due to the boundless nature of imagination. https://www.joantollifson.com/writing9.html

  19. I am so sorry for that man and his family.
  20. I smoke weed, never during the day and have tried most illicit drugs when younger but I've never experienced the paranormal while under the influence of anything including alcohol. In fact I'll use weed to suppress experiencing it if it gets too heavy. Hallucinating on drugs is an entirely different thing.

    Revisiting God Constructs

This is a public forum and anything one posts on it can and will be discussed and debated. Read your last few posts and notice how insulting and condescending you've been to posters who disagree with you, then cry me a river. You can believe in the tooth fairy and the easter bunny, for all I care, but you don't have the right to either foist your beliefs off on anyone else or insult and condemn them because they don't toe your ecclesiastical line.
  23. It could and probably is that your wife is just more sensitive than you and has more primitive instincts. I feel a lot of people are just too comfortable living in a nanny state and disregard those gut feelings, there usually isn't a need for them now. If she is open to the possibility of this then she could experience it but I'm like her and need to see it to accept it. I'm in no way against people doubting this and some still don't think it's real after seeing something profoundly paranormal as it's very taxing on the mind and our whole being in many ways.

    The Nelson's Chamber Cartouche

Hi Zod! I think you've cracked it. It was glued back on and then it fell off again. Genius!

    The Nelson's Chamber Cartouche

There are wacky explanations that can be conjectured, if one accepts that a forgery occurred. It is possible that the stick was indeed correctly drawn/painted on the wall (just after Vyse's entry), but unwittingly, the forger hadn't realised that the upper part of the 'stick' was over the top of a very thin, translucent layer of salt encrustation. At some later point, due to a change in the prevailing conditions, human disturbance, etc, that layer flaked off (taking with it, the upper part of the stick). So, by the time Perring went to copy it from the chamber, it had fallen off. But, fortunately, it was then found on the floor and glued back, in time for Hill & witnesses. The glue didn't last, so by the time Rowe got there it had fallen off again and become trampled into smithereens.
