I might go to a Shakira concert if she had bacon on her butt for the shakin’ bacon tour.

One of our 2 cats died suddenly last night. Tigger had just turned 3 years old. She was "my" cat and she loved to rub her head up against me, and lay on my arm while we watched TV. Ringo, our male cat, favors my wife, but Tigger loved me.
We are devastated of course. I have looked up sudden death in younger cats and I hear a lot about heart failure.
Here is Tigger shortly after being born.

Prince Meghan of Surrey is very beautiful and obviously a good actor. She kept the red carpet smile going throughout the ceremony, but she did look genuinely happy.
All in all, a super-duper wedding, apart from the American pastor who talked about MLK, slavery, peanut M&Ms, Hitler, overdue car payments, and Hiroshima.

In 2016, I got in touch with someone I was in school with a long time ago at a terrible Catholic school called Morning Star. I was there for three years in the 6th grade. We didn't know each other back then, but I noticed she was the only person besides myself who never talked to anyone there and I considered her a kindred spirit. We've talked lightly on Facebook for a couple years. She keeps a very low profile, so I won't talk much about her other than stating the experience itself. She recently asked me to meet her at a Starbucks. Met in person on Monday. She's a really incredible person! It was surreal knowing I was talking to the same person who, unbeknownst to her at the time, helped me feel I wasn't alone back then and left a giant impression on my life. I'm taking her out to eat this coming Monday. I don't know where this will lead. I'm terrified, in awe, and very happy all at once.

Have you ever met somebody who, in a single moment, changes your outlook on life in a good way? That happened to me last Monday. Not because of any specific thing. Just the sudden, provocative internal realization of something elusive that can't be put into words. I know it sounds cheesy, but the world is looking different to me right now.
