Hillary Clinton's softer image is clawed

And who they are in real life is important to me, a voter, for their actions, how they will lead us, how they will look to the rest of the world and how good of a job they will do.

........

What you don't like is the fact that people are judging our elected leaders outside of just their policy but rather their actions and life styles.

Exactly. History is RIPE with "immoral" leaders who accomplished great things and were exemplary leaders who saved their civilizations.

Ben Franklin single handedly saved the Americans durring the revolutionary war by convincing France to back the colonies financially and with ships and advisors. He was a drunk, a womanizer, cheated on his wife, was estranged from one son, and stayed in Europe rather than go home to a sick wife, who died. Yet without him, we would all be speaking English today. (haha).

Again:

Just please, please PLEASE, for the love of all that is still good in this country, educate yourselves on the candidates POLICIES and make your decisions based on who you think has the best policy. NOT who saw a space alien, or who gave a cat away, or who has an accused but unconvicted molester working for their campaign, or who's got the best/worst hair, or who seems like a nice person. PLEASE realize that these things are nothing more than intentional distractions in order to make you vote for someone else who's just better at spinning their personal flaws or mistake moments.

What Ben Franklins are we missing today becasue people like you form opinins based on meaningless nonsense?

So you take no look at the people who you're voting for but at their own policies in government? I find it hard to believe. You keep wanting to expect more Ben Franklins but I'd expect you'd be disappointed more then not.

I find it hard to believe that you factor in personal lives into politics and don't see how absurd that is.

I don't give a damn who divorced whom, who's kid is running around crazy, who cheated on who, who's got the best/worst hair, who gave a pet away, who wears a flag on their lapel, who was in the military, who wasn't, who works for who, who once spoke to a porn star at a party, etc. etc. It DOESN'T MATTER.

All the stuff is nothing but balony meant to distract you from the reall issue: POLICY.

If there is a candidate who pushes policy that I think is right for our country at this time, I'll vote for them no matter what, as long as they are not a criminal.

You keep wanting to expect more Ben Franklins but I'd expect you'd be disappointed more then not.

Right, because today Ben Franklin would be recalled from office because the Continental Congress would be too afraid that people like you would want them out of office when they learned about his personal life. Today, Jefferson, Lincoln, FDR couldn't even get onto the ballot. Instead, we end up with horrible leaders who have a good image. Image is not important when compared to policy and substance.

Ben Franklin is out there today....he just has NO chance of surviving the political process becasue people don't vote for the best policy or the man who can execute that policy....they vote for the person they LIKE the best. And that is bad for everyone.

Ignorant sets of voters like me? :w00t: You are pretty much admitting Hillary is not likable but we should all vote for here. Don't panic, maybe the hanging chad will go in your favor this time. :tu:

You should read a little closer. I did not call you ignorant but agreed with you. And I did not advocate voting for HRC.

Lots of people care. Many people in this country are pet owners. How you treat your pets and family can tell a lot about you. Hillary is a cold hearted witch. She's pushed Bill into submission with her crazies, her own daughter is a bit weird and has little connection to her own mother while also being insanely private, and now a pet who most would love to death is dumped off like a bag of trash on the curb.

And you got all that based on the cat?!! The candidates can just tell us about their positions on issues. Because if the do not, then we should not vote for them. It seems to be you're magnifying a the "pet" issue instead of talking about substantive issues. I have pets, lots of pets, well cared for, but to me that doesn't mean squat.

Yea, and you know who probably took care of the cat then? BETTY CURRY. The woman who Hillary gave the cat to. Rather than keep the cat as a status and image symbol, she gave it to the person who had been taking care of it all along.

Kratos said

Still pretty cold to get rid of a pet after years of being with it.

It might. But would you really rather have her just dump the cat on the road or humane society to be euthanized? The cat has a home and a caring owner. Seems like a good decision on Hrc's part. Not a reason to whine about.
