A Chinese town has made the world's longest dragon.

Shuangfeng town, Taicang city, made the 2,008 metre long dragon to mark the upcoming 2008 Beijing Olympics.

It is a mile and a quarter long and will need 1,200 dancers to support it at the town's traditional dragon dance.

"It needed 4,200 metres of fabric and more than 300 bamboo poles."

COOL!

I'd love to see the dragon dance live. I love watching traditional dances. So far I think my favorite is the Native American blanket dances, (yeah it's because of how powerful and 'mystical' the drums are durring them).

ah great more numbers i have a problem with numbers

anyways maybe it means nothing? 2008Meters=1.24771 Miles

1908 Summer Olympics had 2,008 athletes(1,971 men, 37 women,)

The Games of the IV Olympiad

Italian authorities were preparing infrastructure for the games when Mount Vesuvius

erupted on April 7, 1906, devastating the nearby city of Naples. Funds that were to

have gone to the Olympics were diverted to the reconstruction of Naples,

so a new venue was required. London was selected,

from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1908_Summer_Olympics

or just maybe its all about the number>? :unsure2:
