I don't see why not. Part of the idea is to learn useless (sometimes not so useless)stuff. You never even think about most of this stuff unless someone else thinks to ask, and then they probably have to look up the answer to begin with, or they just stumbled on it and thought "Wow, I didn't know that!"

Think of it as being educational. Always important.

That's it! Galvin was making the battery eliminator for two years before it became Motorola and began producing car radios.
