JustNormal Posted December 22, 2007 #26 Share Posted December 22, 2007 This show has cheese dripping off of it. It will not last long. LOL I agree Eric. You cannot clean a home with a Priest, Demonologist, a medium and wiccans, that is just ridiculous and counter productive. That man in the trailer was no more possessed than I am. Also Demonics DONT tell anyone their names, never mind a home owner who asks "who do you think you are?" LOL..I liked the first airing but was very disappointed in the second show. The previews look interesting for Dec 31, so if I am around I may watch it for kicks and giggles, but I may go out..HAPPY HOLIDAYS MY FRIEND..JN
Pluto-x Posted December 25, 2007 #27 Share Posted December 25, 2007 For once... I agree with Eric & JN!? Eric, what kind of cheese? LOL F.Y.I. One of the episodes coming up on P.S. is an episode with a place called Katie's Bar & Lounge. We have investigated Katie's Bar & Lounge several times and its not very active. Its active, but mildly active. I am curious what Penn state has captured there. It was definitely one of the most hardest investigations we ever encountered. For many reasons. The Smithtown RR Station is right behind it making a racket every time a train pulls in. Its right off of Route 25 which is a main road that has high volume of traffic. The interior has many surfaces with shiny reflections. That is why our group is curious as to what they caught there. We have captured some interesting Audio clips, but more EVP than any video. It'll be very interesting what kind of evidence they got considering the surroundings and interior. The best EVP we got there which is what I prefer to call an Audio clip, is the sound of card shuffling. Like someone playing a card game. What made this the best Audio clip for me is that we all heard it in person. When you capture a sound like that and can collaborate a piece of evidence with more than one person makes it more substantial. It would be a decent show if they cut out the creepy music? TAPS has creepy music, but at least they keep it faint. On this show, their music is loud. How can you hear any EVP's? LOL Happy Holiday's to everyone!!! TRPS-TECH Posted December 29, 2007 #29 Share Posted December 29, 2007 I agree with the earlier post , I'm sure its real but , the show is VERY CHEESY . They use to many sound effects and the only encounters they have or show are personal , nothing visible. Even thought it is real , it definetly does make us fellow ghost hunters look like idiots ! Atheist God Posted January 3, 2008 #33 Share Posted January 3, 2008 This show is so fake... While I accept the possibility of unexplainable activity I think the best way to go about investigating such things should be done under strict control by scientists to definitively prove or disprove the existence of the activity. Then from this point we can begin to put fourth theories and test them to figure out whats really going on or not going on. Even TAPS on the Scifi show Ghost Hunters go about it wrong using pseudo-scientific methods.

The previews look interesting for Dec 31, so if I am around I may watch it for kicks and giggles, but I may go out..HAPPY HOLIDAYS MY FRIEND..JN I agree. I've talked to demonologists, and know how exorcisms work. First, anyone conducting and exocism would NEVER allow that many people in the room. ONLY trained proffessionals, sanctioned byt the Catholic church, would even try to perform and exorcism, and only then after alot of research, and sanctioning by the Vatican. I have never heard of an "on the spot" exorcism, ever. And true, demon's do NOT reveal their real names to anyone, for any reason. That is supposed to be one of the easiest ways to exorcise a demon, is with it's name. Why would it help them get rid of itself?? I don't care for the show at all. It seems scripted. I am also a ghost "hunter", and know how investigations go. They have way too many experiences, and way too many coincidences. The people in my group only have experiences in, maybe, a quarter of the investigations we do. The rest are boring, and we are able to debunk 99 percent of the activity. If the people on the show really knew anything about paranormal investigations, the last thing they would want to do if a demonic posession occurred, is to hang around and help out. That is not a place for amateurs at all. I also hear alot of people bashing TAPS on here, because they over-debunk things. Remember, TAPS does not claim to be out there to find ghosts. They claim they are out there to help people, by proving that their house is NOT haunted. They go in looking for rational explanations for what is happening, NOT paranormal explanations. When they can not debunk something, that is when they will admit that a place is haunted. Investigators should do this more often if they want to be taken seriously. Unless you have hard evidence, you should not claim a place is haunted. I've talked to the guys from TAPS on several occasions, and what you see on TV is highly edited by SCI-FI. It makes it look as if they are in a place for one night, didn't see anything, so move on. After talking to TAPS, almost every investigation they go to is for several nights(watch the change in clothes). Of course, just like any other group of pranormal investigators that approach an investigation scientifically, they do not get evidence of any type most of the time. So, to keep the show interesting, SCI-FI shows them debunking things, and adding in whatever video footage might make the show more interesting. In my opinion, TAPS has the best paramormal show on TV, because you know it is real. They don't find things most of the time, they don't go in with psychics, or homemade equipment, they don't try and get rid of the ghosts themselves, and when things do happen, it scares the **** out of them. There was a comment made earlier that TAPS does nothing to help people. They help people alot. If they can explain what is going on in someones home rationally, then they have helped someone. Also, if there IS something going on in a place, they call in others to help get rid of it. They just don't want to put that on TV. Anyone with any knowledge of cleansings and/or exorcisms understands why. They admit that they are not qualifiied to tackle these things themselves. They are simply there to try and disprove a supposed haunting. If they can prove it is haunted, then they hand it off to they pro's, many of which I have also talked to and verified this with. AllP0werToSlaves Posted January 3, 2008 #37 Share Posted January 3, 2008 I like TAPS a little bit more, simply because they try and debunk the cases, not believe in every little thing that is going on. salyer Posted January 6, 2008 #38 Share Posted January 6, 2008 TAPS is the only one id watch. All the other ones are taking things out of context to form a haunted located thesis. “When you go out looking for something you usually find it.” And that is just what 99.9% of these shows are doing wither it be real or faked into being real. Edit: Does anyone know when it suppose to air again? Much to my surprise it wasnt bad. I give them credit for researching the home, land and the people. They dont rely on scientific evidence but that of listening to the home owners, and then performing a 3-4 day investigation. To me, that is good ole ghost hunting. The best part is, unlike TAPS, Paranormal Site always resolves the issues, and IMO that is what its all about, NOT evidence or "debunking." At the end of most of their shows, when they are showing whatever evidence they did or did not get, they will even say sometimes that they will hook the client up with a counselor, or a priest to come in and bless the house. They are just not desparate enough for ratings to show this on TV. Those kind of thing are private, and should not be shown on the air. I have personally talked the guys in TAPS and verified this, and talked to several of the people that go in after TAPS is gone to resolve the issues. TAPS is not there to bless houses and preform exocisms. They are simply there to look for evidence of whether or not a place is haunted. If they believe it is, then they hand it off to the pro's who are more qualified to handle that end of it. Like someone said, Ghost Hunters is not perfect, but they are still better than most of the BS out there. At least they approach things in a rational manner, and realize when they do not have the knowledge or experience to handle something, then they let someone else more qualified handle it. And why are you against debunking?? That is what is should be about. Any good investigator is not going to go in looking for ghosts, they are going to go in to debunk things, and look for rational explanations for what is happening. That is the only way an investigator can be taken seriously. They are there to help the people who are experiencing these things by helping them understand what is going on. You can't help people by going into thier house looking for ghosts, because you are only backing up something that could have only been their imagination anyway. You have to prove whether a haunting is real or not before you can do anything about it. Edited January 9, 2008 by BIGK1974

My fave show so far was the one with the 14 year old medium! Deb Hauntings in Central Illinois! centralilghosts.com It was entertaining, but way too convenient. How in the hell did they link what a girl in Las Vegas is seeing to a muder in Texas 20 years earlier, through nothing but a first name?? Forensic scientists have a hard time doing that when they have all the hard evidence right there in front of them, but somehow this group of 20 year old kids solved a 20 year old murder by talking to a girl in Las Vegas?? Way too hokey. That seems very set up to me. Nobody could be that lucky.
salyer Posted January 9, 2008 #45 Share Posted January 9, 2008 TAPS is the only one worth watching. This BS about paranormal state being somewhat logical is a load of crap. The show takes what is expected to be a haunted area and tries to find “logical” sense for it. YOU DON”T HAVE LOGIC around something like this. You can’t say ok its haunted now lets prove it. You try to disprove a possible haunting or any other thing when scientific evidence is concerned. Paranormal state is a sugar coated load of BS with a side of stupidity. Its clearly been made for the 90% of people who buy into anything put in front of their faces.

I think she connected with the girl because of the girl's pain being similar to her own. My comment had nothing to do with a spirit communicating over a long distance. My comment was about a group of inexperienced kids somehow linking a name that they got from a girl in Las Vegas to a murder victim in Texas from only a first name, and in only a couple of days. Sherlock Holmes(if he was real) couldn't have put that together with the info they had. If police departments and other professionals could use these same methods, there would be never be any unsolved crimes. My point is, that everything was way too convenient. There is no logical way in hell they would be able to put all the info together and figure out it was this girl, unless it was set up, which I believe it was.
