Consummate Deist Posted January 27, 2004 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2004 Over the years people have wondered where Atzlan was located, many have claimed to have located it, all in different places, but no real proof has been offered. In the origin myths of the Aztecs, they emerged originally from the bowels of the earth through seven caves (Chicomostoc) and settled in Aztlan, from which they subsequently undertook a migration southward in search of a sign that would indicate that they should settle once more. The exact physical location of Aztlan is unknown, other than it must have been located near estuaries or on the coast of northwestern Mexico. What is your take on this "Sacred" place? Kryso Posted January 31, 2004 #3 Share Posted January 31, 2004 Hi, if you don't know me, you will not know that I'm British living in Mexico City: and I have done lots of research about my adopted home. If you want to get the facts, read a great book called Aztec, by Garry Jennings. Even though its a fictional book, it has all the facts you need to know about Mexico! Enjoy!
