True, but its still provides a basis of seeing were you are. Problem with a lot of people is they link left they think Stalin, completely ignoring that Marx when he founded the Socialist ideology wrote of a democracy were everyone was equal (deomcracies didn't exist at his time). Stalin and Lenin simply used the term to gain support from the masses. Hence, I'm not surprised a group of people living in democracies mostly fall into the left hand of the spectrum. For you Scots; the Scottish National Party will be around the middle, and Scottish Socialists Party will be around were the greens are. Nazis will be around the Conservatives, just closer to Fascism. Personally I think they have the Liberal Democractes on the wrong side of the left/right divide as they may not be as left as the greens but their definately closer to the left than that.
