Naveed Posted February 13, 2004 #2 Share Posted February 13, 2004 Isn't hydrogen highly explosive in a Hindenberg type of way? I'd be afraid to drive a hydrogen fueled car... *looks out for random Hindenbergs driving down the street*

shrapnel Posted February 15, 2004 #4 Share Posted February 15, 2004 Hydrogen is not explosive unless oxygen has been mixed in with it. It will burn when it has enough air circulation to provide oxygen. Also the Hindenburg went up so fast because of the extremely flammable lacquer put on the outside to ensure it was airtight, it did not explode it burned really fast.
