questionmark Posted April 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2008 Youth sweatshirts and jackets are recalled Published: April 2, 2008 at 12:18 PM WASHINGTON, April 2 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of "Photoflauge" hooded youth sweatshirts and jackets due to a safety hazard. The CPSC said about 7,400 of the Chinese-manufactured sweatshirts and jackets were recalled by Brents-Riordan Inc. of Shreveport, La., because a drawstring through the hood can pose a strangulation hazard to children. The recall involves sweatshirt No. 11037Y-39) and jacket with hood No. 1113Y-39). The item number is found in a label located underneath the care label. The recalled clothing has a camouflage design with the trademark "Photoflauge" printed on them. The sweatshirts and jackets were sold nationwide from July through December for between $20 and $30. Consumers can return the items to either the place of purchase or Brents-Riordan for a full refund. Consumers wishing further information can contact the company at 866-835-6357.
