Like "Ghost Hunters"(TAPS)? Heard about this?

I recently saw a Zak Bagans & Nick Groff Paranormal Research Production called "Ghost Adventures" which took place in Nevada.

I must say, if it's truely authentic (which it appears to be, because they had it on several local News Broadcasts and tested by video analyst specialist), then it ranks right up there with some of the best scientific evidence caught to try and prove the existence of paranormal activities.

This show, "Ghost Adventures" has aired several times on the Travel Channel which investigated locations in Nevada. TAPS has even gone and investigated the abandoned hotel in this episode and caught some additional evidence, but I MUST say if you have a chance to watch "Ghost Adventures' then you've got to do so. It's pretty impressive, especially the full bodied apparition walking across the room & the brick and board levitating and taking off in different directions (which totally freaked out the guys filming/ creating this).

If you're familiar with the television show "Ghost Hunters" on Sci-Fi, then this, to me, ranks right up there with the Lighthouse in Florida that TAPS investigated. :tu:

Anyway, if anyone's seen "Ghost Adventures" then please let me know your thoughts on it.

-Take Care,

I was able to see the footage of the brick and wood being thrown across the room. Very chilling piece of footage.

* add

The size of the brick, it took some force to throw it.

I concur completely. The footage was viewed and analyzed and found authentic. I don't recall the full bodied aparition, but I do have a link to the video with the brick flying through the air....(another little hobby of collecting such things)....

It really freaked me out abit. Enjoy. ~Jackal

No joke, and the physicist's explanation and the video analyst's cleaned up footage was even more compelling!

I hope these guys come back and investigate some other locations, or I'd like to see TAPS do their Halloween Special from the Washoe Hotel in Nevada :)

The full bodied apparition was from the 1st location of the "Ghost Adventures" episode. It was a shadowy figure that seemd to walk across the room, and did appear to block out part of the light coming in from a window. That's the footage they showed on several Las Vegas news broadcast. I'll see if I can dig up a link to the video and post it here.

One last thing all.. I just wanted to post a link to Jason's and Grant's (TAPS) unedited radio show, here at: Beyond Reality Radio - with Jason & Grant

Also, I wanted to post links to another paranormal research group's site, called The Paranormal Research Society (PRS) from Penn State University. They currently have a series on A&E called "Paranormal State".

The link to their A&E site is: A&E Paranomal State Episodes

The Pennsylvania State University Paranormal Research Society's (PRS) link is: PRS Home Page

PRS does things a little different, and one of the things that they do different, which I have an issue with, is that they use Psychics. I have an issue with this, because it's not using scientific methods and Psychic "readings" can be left open to too many interprentations. In their defense however, they do also use scientific methods and devices as well.

Thanks again for the links Dolph, but I don't care to see anything regarding PRS or Paranormal State, to me, that is just a joke.

A really bad joke.

Yeah the footage was really good footage that they got, but it seems to me that right when things started to get going good in the investigation they let a bit of what they are trying to investigate scare them off.

Getting that apparition on video was definitly very cool.

I found it compelling. They got seperated. Then they were absolutely hysterical I'm sure, being alone. As soon as they found eachother, there was a loud sound and a little girls voice which sent them over the edge...litterally. They were locked in and had to jump out a second floor window or landing. That would be real. When you are actually confronted by an element from the otherside, who the hell cares about video. You just want to flee! And if one person could stay and fight that overwhelming human instinct for self preservation, we might actually have evidence by now. But anyone with a brain and common sense will most likely bolt. I have hundreds of times. lol. I always muster the nerve to return though. Well, most of the time. But I'm not talking about squeeks and creaks. I'm talking about a disembodied voice right in front of you in the dark, or something grabbing your arm. Yep...time to put those Nikes to the test. lol. It's not what you choose to do. It is instinct, and an automatic engrained reaction. It just happens. I don't blame anyone for running, and frankly, it tells me that the flight factor has been activated, which speaks volumes for the integrity of their discovery. In other words, they really had the hell scared out of them, and it was genuine.

I understand the fear factor, but my gripe with this is that if you are going to do a paranormal investigation, then you need to have a bit more nerve than that.I have been in many a situation where there was alot more things happening than what was on that tv program and it did not frighten me a single bit.The things I have whitnessed flying about on there own or being hit or choked or even out right seeeing a spirits as solid as I am and so on and on did not make me want to run anywhere.Annoyed at certain points yes, as it tends to disrupt my sleep at times or I have to clean up after them, but other than that it does not make me want to run screaming like a little girl.

It's one thing if these things just happen to you, however it is completely differant when you are trying to do a profesional investigation.I do have to agree with you on the instinct part, but again, sometimes a person just has to be a profesional and not let this primal fear over ride there mental capacity for better judgement.I guess that is easier said than doen though eh?

I suppose in this point of my life though this kind of stuff is normal to me and it just does not frighten me, nor does the media drivin factor that invokes feelings of fear bother me at all.I will admit though that I watched the first exorcist at the age of 13, not really being a religious person at all, and that movie scared the living crap out of me.I don't think I got a good nights sleep for 3 days, lol!Even to this day, I think that movie is a pretty scary movie, and it was pretty realistic as well, even by todays standards, it's just a very compeling story/movie.Anyways but the same applies to the characters in the movie,it wouldn't be cool if at the first sign of paranormal activity, the priests would have run away from there investigation screaming and crying.Running out of the house while telling the mom,"your on your own!"...............................lol

That's why I said I have issues with them :) They always seems to wrap things up in a nice little "feel good" package, as if they've solved something. When we watch this, at some point the words "that's a bunch of crap" always seems to be uttered by me. I was just posting this, to show an example of a non-scientific investigation. I agree with your thoughts on PRS

I agree that sometimes the investigator's primal fear may take over, but you do have to be professional. You don't want to be like Brian from TAPS and be caught on film, hauling **** down a hallway yelling "DUDE RUN"...lol. That cracks me up everytime I see that.

I used to be a Sheriff's Deputy, and there were times when I was in a fearful situation, but that's when your training should kick in and you have to fight through it and keep your emotions in check.

BTW, does anyone find it ironic how Steve from TAPS has some many phobias or fears, but ghosts don't bother him? I think this is hilarious :)

I can only add, that the adventures show was more frightening than any ghost hunters episode I have ever seen. In fact, it was more compelling than any show of that nature. It really was most scary. Now I'm an x cop myself. I have crawled into a dark house after an armed, barricaded suspect that hid his crack by shoving it into a babys' rectum. So I know about dealing with evil, human and otherwise. I'm not scared of anything human (well except maybe Tina Turner...she freaks me out, man!). But if you can just stand there in the total dark while bricks are being hurled across the room, you have my vote to join their show. I would love to see what happened. But I also understand why I didn't. Brian is a poser and a coward, and I can't stand his element in the show. I don't deal well with incompetence. And at my age, I've done all the patting on the head I choose to. So I don't like imbeciles be forced upon me in my entertainment outlets. ~Jackal

:tu: :tu: another cop! Yah!

Tis true, when you see the hardest evil in man and it not phase you, then to find something that does, it's usually enough to give most folks a stroke.

I agree. And we don't all have the same phobias. I am scared of heights....so I rock climb and go rappeling. I am scared of spiders.....so I play with tarantulas. I am scared of being eaten alive by a grizzly bear....so....well, I haven't conquered that one yet! lol. My point is, just because we do what we do, doesn't mean we have to be fearless. Just in control. But sometimes, things just plain get out of control and off the chain. ~Jackal 10-4, all units 10-33 till Shankpin advises. ;) Boy I miss that stuff!
