xYlvax Posted February 6, 2011 #51 Share Posted February 6, 2011 Why would God play favorites and only talk to "special" people? Doesn't seem so Christ like to me. I think he speaks to anyone who will listen.

Shang Di Posted February 6, 2011 #53 Share Posted February 6, 2011 Um what does Knock on God mean? These were the words Jesus taught to his disciples. When he told not to worry on things to come which until today we too are anxious of the days to come. To pray to the Heavenly Father, Ask, and it shall be given unto you... Seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened.... The persistent prayer of a believer is just like knocking. Jacob even wrestled with God! And his only the desire is God's blessing. Esau just taught of it as nonsense since he traded his birthright with a soup.

I think he speaks to anyone who will listen. I too questioned about that. He does not have favorites but he does have close friends. These people are not only Jews but people who spend time much in prayer. He doesn't speak necessarily face to face like Moses, he communicate in dreams, visions and even in the events in our lives. Shang Di Posted February 7, 2011 #55 Share Posted February 7, 2011 God still speaks to us..He does it through His word (the Bible) True. he does speak today. Even fools are used by God. They are just silenced by Church authorities as in the days of the prophets and even Jesus time. His Spirit is alive today as it was. He is a Living God, God of Avraham, Yitchak and Yakuuv. Elijah was not a priest he criticized openly as Jeremiah did. let us just listen to the whipping rods of God in our times.

So how are you supposed to know what dream he was "comunicating through" I have excellent dream recall, I remember most of them. I also have good and bad things happen in my life. Why should I believe its from God?

David said in Psalms 119:105 "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path" I personally have never experienced God talking to me in dreams and visions..I believe Gods word is to direct our paths..thats how He speaks to us, not in dreams. jwilliams4 Posted February 28, 2011 #60 Share Posted February 28, 2011 I agree with the above posters, why would the Creator have a desire to communicate with something that to him is lower than microbes are to us? <img src="http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> It's called "LOVE"! danielost Posted February 28, 2011 #61 Share Posted February 28, 2011 (edited) It's called "LOVE"! if he loves us, then we cant be lower than a microbe unless of course he loves the microbes too. Edited February 28, 2011 by danielost
