Blue Raven Posted August 7, 2008 #202 Share Posted August 7, 2008 Good GRIEF! That's a heck of a lot of activity. I honestly don't know if I would have been able to stay there - especially for a few days! I know - it was scary as hell. But with all the "stuff" he brought to our house (when he was still alive) we had lots of activity, so you could almost say we were kind off used to it, everytime they came to visit, we would start to experience stuff or bad luck would hit us hard as soon as he left. Then we had to go through the whole routine of cleansing and blessing and cleaning out everything and burning the "muti" we found...This might sound stange but I kinda expected him to "hang" around and make everything scary, I mean he liked to do it in life why not death. flyinghigh23, yes, he knew he was dead - the night before his funeral - he communicated to us through my uncle, he said that he will see us the next day and he said that there was something in the wall and that my grandmother must look...(unfortunately, she did not have the guts to break the wall open). He was talking to us all through my uncle, that was very upsetting - it was just as he did when he was alive...He did not say where he was or where he was gong to - only that he will be around... I think that all that witch docter stuff he was involved with gave him some kind of power to do those things.

Queenofthefairies Posted August 7, 2008 #204 Share Posted August 7, 2008 (edited) Creepy, the ghost seems to have wild mood swings... Can you tell us the other half of what happened to you? just the usual hearing the voices etc but one phenomenon kept on happening and it was VERY annoying. In our dining room we have a table and 6 chairs now being a neat freak i like to have the chairs pulled in to the table. well every morning or even when i went outside and came back in to the house, these chairs would be pulled out like a whole group of people just has sat down for dinner. Even at night i would hear them move and of course in the morning they would be out again. boy at first it was scary, then it got just plain annoying I was alone in the house one day as usual watching t.v during the day when i swear i could hear footsteps on the roof. It was like someone was walking around up there. I listened quitely then heard what seemed to me was this 'person' tripped and rolling down the roof and heard an very loud thud on the ground. It was that loud and real i got off the sofa and went outside to see if someone had actually had an accident involving the roof of my house. When i went out there of course there was noone and nothing at all. To me that was very strange because something had fallen from the roof when we got our house 'cleansed' by some mediums they told us it was the spirit of a man that once owned the house, he was fixing the roof and fell off a died, as soon as i heard this i was convinced that i was hearing a reliving of the mans death that day. this man was also very angry for calling the house 'ours' because he was still convinced it was his. Libranaster Posted August 8, 2008 #205 Share Posted August 8, 2008 My story is freaky for me not so much because it was happening to me but it seemed to be aimed at the people I love and thus I was afraid for their safety. When my children were babies we lived in a lovely brand new house in Claremont, Tasmania. We had a good life while in this house and still our lives seemed to also fall apart. I did not realise it at the time but I think the first thing to be affected was our personalities. I became very unhappy in my relationship with my partner for no reason and he became very distant from me. It came down to us sleeping in seperate beds for reasons now I can not explain. I think the first truely noticable spiritual event was when my daughter who was around 18 months picked up and imaginary friend which I thought she was a little young to have that much of a imagination but kind of thought nothing of it she would spend her time out in the back yard chatting away to thin air. Then one day I saw her talking to someone on the swing and scarily enough the swing was moving. Being a spiritualist and also seeing no evidence of this spirit attempting to hurt her I did not attempt to interviene I thought it might be more traumatic for such a young child to find out her friend is departed from this mortal coil than to actually let her harmlessly chat away to this thing. A few weeks after this my partner reports to me that while lieing in bed he saw a woman and a little girl in old fashioned clothing drift through the room and out a window like as if it was not even there. This also did not bother me much I just thought we had some spooks but by this time I was interested as to why they were in our nearly new house floating about and such. Not really noticing how angry and unhappy I was getting in my relationship with someone I love so much. When my son was born then things started to worsen he would cry alot in the night and I started to become suspicious that someone/ thing was waking him in the night. It would seem I only just got him settled and would relax and he would cry. Then one night that night have been avoided had me and my partner been talking but our communication had even gone out the window, any way this one night I hear my daughter who had been sleeping through the night from 14 months old crying in the night. Of course I went running to her room thinking she had fallen out of her cot from how loudly she was screaming and crying only to find her scrunched into one corner of her cot screaming and crying hysterically. This frightened living hell out of me I thought my baby was having a nervous breakdown it was so bad. Anyway after this I spoke to my partner and he told me at night while listening to music on head phones he heard a woman's voice calling Emily's name. He went to check it out and I (being the only woman in the house) was fast asleep in bed. We stayed a little longer but me and my partner's fighting got worse and worse and we soon moved and stayed with our friends till we found another house but the wierd thing is as soon as we left we did not feel the negative feelings towards each other. The only thing that makes me curious is the people who lived there before us had a very messy devorce I wonder now if the house got the better of them and had me and my partner been less stubborn would it have gotten the better of us? I can not explain the experiences we had in the house and I can not tell you any history of what might have happened. My pop lived in the area as a child and I questioned him about it and he said there was nothing but clay mines up there. I must admit nothing scared me more than seeing my baby curled up in that cot screaming like that she was scared out of her little mind. She was only just barely 2. I think the experience effected my kids more than I wish it had of especially because of the effect it had on me. I still think of it with great fear and would not go back if you paid me. Libranaster Posted August 8, 2008 #206 Share Posted August 8, 2008 Earlier this year another experience that was kind of unsettling was when I woke up to my partner saying "go away go on go" when I looked in the direction he was I saw an orb floating about. When I asked my partner what he was doing he told me he saw a white spirit he could even make out facial features and it was standing right over me in the bed. Apparently it took alot of encouragement to make it go away and he looked pretty freaked out and not much freaks him out. I was very unsettled by this and a little scared myself thinking something got so close to me in the night and I didn't know it. It made me curious as to whether this could be a reason for some of the wierd dreams I have.

Wow, it must've been really scary to see your child screaming and in pure terror. I think maybe a spirit is in that house of someone who had their heart broken by someone long ago, and now it doesn't want anyone to be happy in a relationship because it thinks if it can't no one can. I would've been scared if I heard someone fall off the roof but no one was there! yes it was because it thought someone had seriously injured themselves trying to sneek their way into our house, sometimes at night before the 'cleansing' and this experience and after i heard the footsteps on our roof. it was just plain weird. Golden Hawk Posted August 12, 2008 #214 Share Posted August 12, 2008 I heard coming from the living as loud as hell "GET OUT!" " would also say random things like "hay how are you?" Not necessarily bi-polar, but maybe just trying to get your attention. He (I get the feeling it is a man) also has a wharped sense of humor ; re the moving boxes, cups, etc. However he was trying to get your attention for a reason when he told you to get out, perhaps there was a problem he wanted you to know about. If he did not like you the yelling would be continious and he would be throwing things, not just moving them. As with any, OK most, ghosts, you can talk to them. If he continues to be annoying, just tell him to knock it off. Be firm as you would with a child and say please in a firm "adult" voice. Open your mind, only when you are ready of course, and "feel" for a name. Usually the first one you imagine, or mentally hear is or will be, close enough. We have a ghost on our land we call George. He shows up every once and a while occasionally as blue or green orb in JR's bedroom (the cat thinks he's dumb ).

All ghosts (as far as I know anyway) try to get your attention. They could be using violent methods to get your attention or just moving things, or even appearing for you. cthulhu. Posted August 12, 2008 #218 Share Posted August 12, 2008 (edited) Okay here's my story. One afternoon me and two of my friends were bored, so we went into an old abandoned house that my friend Joe said was haunted, while waiting for two more of our friends we got bored, and eventually got full bladders. So I walked into the nearest room, telling every one to "TURN AROUND" very loudly, as I said so I heard feet in the room I was in shuffle around, but I disregarded it as my friends turning around. All of a sudden while I was relieveing myself I felt a cold spot, and got a paranoid feeling, my friend called at me and said "Dude...you feel that?", "Yeah, what is it like 20 degrees in here? It's summer for christs sake". So we were all a litle scared so we went upstairs to wait for our buddies. We were upstairs messing around with old letters and stuff we found when we all just stopped and looked at eachother for a second, then we heard soft running paced foot steps downstairs, followed by a very quiet giggling noise like that from a child, which didn't really phase us, it just felt kind of...normal, even though we all knew there wasn't anything normal about it. The laughing and footsteps persisted for about 30-45 mins. until our other friends arrived, at which point I heard a scared kind of whimpering noise coming from another upstairs room connected by a door to the room we were in, but the door was blocked by furniture, and other junk making it a hard task to enter. I think whatever was whimpering was a good spirit, because my friend that met us there is a practising Satanist. I never went back in that house again lol. Edited August 12, 2008 by cthulhu. snappydragon Posted August 13, 2008 #220 Share Posted August 13, 2008 Well Black Shuck is meant to symbol death or tragedy. But the idea that it was a gaurdian seems to be right on the money. If it's been with you your whole life then maybe it's gaurding over you. You like dogs so it decided to take that shape. Well, it did symbolize the death and tragedy of that owner, I guess. The previous owner of the house. It has not been with me all my life though, just at that house. It stayed with the house. My sister and I have thought to stop at the house and ask the owners if they have seen the dog or sensed anything strange there, but we chickened out. I could just go there and say I used to live there as a child and I wanted to see the house again. This is a good thread when does the contest end and who's the winner? I know I won't win but it's fun reading.

Anjo Posted August 13, 2008 #225 Share Posted August 13, 2008 Fortunately I've never confronted an actual spirit or anything so my post doesn't really count for this competition, but I've experienced a few of the common kinda things. I remember one time, last summer I think, my mother came into my room (I was still asleep) fairly early on to tell me she was going out for a bit, to run some errands. Anyway, being the lazy teenager I am I decided to stay in bed! After a few hours I was woken up by the doors downstairs opening, fairly heavy footsteps - the type a person would make - going throughout the house, going up the stairs, into the bathroom and the other bedrooms (not mine thankfully!). I had just assumed it was my mother coming back home. When I got up, probably a few minutes later, I decided to go find her and chat to her. I couldn't find her anywhere in the house! So I phoned her and surely enough she was still in town, and no one else had been home so I have no idea what those footsteps and doors opening etc was! I know it's hardly spooky and scary and doesn't compare to any posts on here but i thought I'd share Another time a few years back, I was sat on the computer with my sister, we were probably playing a game or chatting to friends or something. Anyway, it was time for us to come off so my sister said "alright, I'll just turn it off now" and the second she said that, the computer restarted by itself! This can probably just be put down to a technical issue, but the computer was running smoothly and there wasn't really any reason why it would just restart :/ that same day (probably an hour or so later) my mother asked me to go boil the kettle for a cup of coffee. I went into the kitchen, and, you guessed it, the kettle was already boiling (and judging by the sound of the water, it would not have been long after my mother asked me to do so either). So yeah, a kind of helpful ghost Not long after that, my mum saw my sister coming home from school so she was stood by the kitchen window and waved at her as she came into our gate. My sister looked at her with a confused expression which my mum found odd! When she came into the kitchen, she said to my mum "Where is he? " and my mum was like, "who..?" to which she replied "the young blond boy stood behind you!" ..there was no young blond boy in the house, just me and my mum. She described him as blond, about 17-years-old, wearing modern clothes and handsome-looking. She absolutely swears on her life she saw him stood behind her as she was entering our garden. The other only other time something spooky has happened was when me and my mum were watching something ghost-related on the tv, and during which she said "I wish my nana could come back to see me, I'd love to see her again" -or something along those lines. There was just the two of us home at the time, everyone else was out blahblah. The day after that, my sister emails my mum something along the lines of "I swore I saw you stood at the top of the stairs when I came home last night but when I looked closer it was an older lady, and after I turned round to lock the door, she was gone". By that time, everyone was in bed. When she got home from work, she described the lady she saw on the stairs and my mum said it sounds pretty much like her nana- wearing the same floral nighty she always wore. The thing is though, there was no way my sister heard the conversation me and my mum had about her wishing her nana would come back, and I know she wouldn't make something like that up :/ I have a theory that some people can see ghosts, some people can't. I think I can't (though I've heard some things) but I think my sister can. Also, my own nana has a few really cool stories to tell. I should get her to sign up here and tell lol!
