Iraq: What would happen if the U.S. won war?

Recommended Posts

I believe most of the Iraqis wants to live in peace and does not care much about their differences, and all the killings and damage is being done by a few extremist wackos.

So you either give into them or insist on coexisting.

You see that's exactly why you don't understand Iraq and the ME. I could post links but it would do no good.

The main stream media is DOMINATED by liberal partisan hacks who will bury any story that makes the US, Bush or the Republicans look good. Perhaps NBC is the worst, as they are clearly in the tank for Obama.

Must be only in Mexico

Oh no, if you root out the trouble makers and just let people live together those differences will fade eventually, there will be inter marriage, friendship established, trade and commerce eventually will erase those differences.

But you have to figth for it first.

Aroces is SOOO the "expert" in ME relations. NOT! And this has been pointed out ad naseum.

Me an expert? Nah, I just don't have your approach of they are all nuts and just let them kill each other.

As you can see, some do care about the innocent and not only when the innocent can be use to bash the US.

Explain to us then what it means when the Iraqis voted(defying those who you seem to understand), recognized the result, formed a govt and that govt is functional as it is now?

What is it that we all don't understand so far that you do?

Ninja what are you smoking. Other than Fox news, name one mainstream media outlet that is even remotely dominated by conservatives. CNN, CNN Espanol, CNN International, nope. ABC, CBS, BBC, the New York Times, Chicago Times, Washington Post, San Francisco Times, Los Angeles Times, Time Magazine, Newsweek, etc...etc... NOPE!

Iraq: What would happen if the U.S. won war?, but the media didn't tell the American public?

really look at that question.

that has to be the dumbest one I've seen really.

with all the BS Bush has done to feed that baby a win would be splashed everywhere so he could justify himself . he wouldn't be the lame duck he is now.

Actually a situation of being a lame duck happens to all 2 term President on the last few months of their final term. And that is because the focus now is on the would be next Prseident and what their agendas might be.

Aroces did have it right. Majority of the people who go and blow themselves up in the streets aren't even from the area. They're called 'insurgents' because they are surging into the country from other countries just for the sake of killing those who are against their beliefs. It's not the Iraqi people themselves.

There are still those extremists who believe that Shia is the way to go, or that Sunni is the way. Either case those people are doing almost the same thing, only they tend to let everyone know "Hey, it was us." when they do it. That's the civil war side of things. And the violence really only happens in the middle of the country where the 3 regions meet.

As for the actual topic that was started....

I agree with LT. If we were to officially 'win' this war, then bush's term wouldn't look like a complete screw up through history. He would be praised more than laughed about. Well... he'd probably still be laughed about, but not quite as heavily. If we won, then his tactics to keep us here would prove to have been worth something.

I stopped watching the news outlets a long time ago because none of them like to give the full truth of matters. Either one station says all the good about whats going on over here or one says all the bad. They never give the full story. They always say "4 soldiers were killed in Iraq today." But never add "...and 500 insurgents were killed in Iraq today."

Oh, and if you keep talking about the Muslim religion as being all about violence, then you're going to p*** off a lot of people on this forum who are in fact Muslim and have been taught nothing but making peace. There's Islam, and there's extremist Islam. Just like there's Christian, and extremist. "Hey, he doesn't believe in God. He must be a devil worshiper!" This kind of mentality is ignorant at best...

Eh, that's my take.

boycottCBS. - I believe was when all those papers came out about Bush and were found to be false. ( yet not all were) the whole AWOL thing ( which Bush has yet to prove he wasn't.) So cons were wanting to boycott CBS. I don't know if they still are.

You listed only one or possible two MAIN STREAM MEDIA OUTLETS. Fox News and perhaps the Washington Times. Think tanks, reporters and commentator's are NOT main stream media. Do you even understand the term?

Simple re-posting your liberal crap, as you do on a daily basis just proves to me your inability to independently think.

Nope, no one said that Russia just went to war for nothing. Funny though that when it's the Russian who uses force to settle a dispute you suddenly had nothing to say and seem trying to understand the use of force.
