People really do appear more attractive when our perceptions are changed by drinking alcohol. There have been few previous attempts to investigate the idea that people seem to find others more attractive when drunk. This same study, if taken 15 years ago, would have had dramatically different results. Because now, all it takes is a simple IM to a friend that says, "Save Me" Which is IM shorthand for, "I'm about to do something REALLY stupid that I'm probably going to regret for the rest of my life and will end up paying ridiculous amounts of money to a therapist who's only in a position of authority because he wasn't dumb enough to do the stupid thing that I'm about to do."
