Sarah Palin's church...

Hello.

I was reading about new insane cultist Christians called "dominionists".

Here's a little on them...

From this link:

http://www.alternet.org/story/96945/theocr...on/?page=entire

(there's a LOT more at the link, this is a summary)

Who are these people?

They think they can:

resurrect the dead, heal the blind, and explode cancerous tumors.

"10,000-plus crowds flocking from around the globe"

"Many in attendance are church pastors themselves who believe Bentley to be a prophet and don't bat an eye when he tells them he's seen King David and spoken with the Apostle Paul in heaven."

"Tattooed across his sternum are military dog tags that read "Joel's Army.""

"They're evidence of Bentley's generalship in a rapidly growing apocalyptic movement that's gone largely unnoticed by watchdogs of the theocratic right. According to Bentley and a handful of other "hyper-charismatic" preachers advancing the same agenda, Joel's Army is prophesied to become an Armageddon-ready military force of young people with a divine mandate to physically impose Christian "dominion" on non-believers."

""An end-time army has one common purpose -- to aggressively take ground for the kingdom of God under the authority of Jesus Christ, the Dread Champion," Bentley declares on the website for his ministry school in British Columbia, Canada. "The trumpet is sounding, calling on-fire, revolutionary believers to enlist in Joel's Army. ... Many are now ready to be mobilized to establish and advance God's kingdom on earth.""

""Joel's Army followers, many of them teenagers and young adults who believe they're members of the final generation to come of age before the end of the world, are breaking away in droves from mainline Pentecostal churches.""

""Numbering in the tens of thousands, they base their beliefs on an esoteric reading of the second chapter of the Old Testament Book of Joel, in which an avenging swarm of locusts attacks Israel. In their view, the locusts are a metaphor for Joel's Army.""

""Joel's Army believers are hard-core Christian dominionists, meaning they believe that America, along with the rest of the world, should be governed by conservative Christians and a conservative Christian interpretation of biblical law. There is no room in their doctrine for democracy or pluralism."""

""constructing a Bible-based social, political and religious order which finally denies the religious liberty of the enemies of God.""

""Notorious for endorsing the public execution by stoning of homosexuals and adulterers""

""The audience members behave as if they are at a psychedelic counterculture festival. One couple jumps up and down twirling red and silver metallic flags. Dyed-haired teenagers pulled in by the revival's presence on Facebook and MySpace wander around looking dazed. Women lay facedown on the floor, convulsing and howling. Fathers wail in tongues as their confused children look on. Strangers lay hands on those who fail to produce tongues or gyrate wildly enough, pressuring them to "let it out."""

Conclusion?

So, basically we have an insane, rabid force of 'tens of thousands' of crazy Christian cultists(many of whom are young) whom freely announce they want America to be ruled by Christianity. Their mission is to create an "army" to impose Christianity on the world by force. They want to stone people!

OK. Everyone can agree this is madness. Pure insanity. Using the virus analogy, YEC is the common cold and this is like the Rage virus.

But what does this have to do with Palin?

This part is from:

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/8/29/16.../559/495/579213

The scariest part is:

"No less than the official newsletter of the Assemblies of God of Alaska promotes her proudly as one of the denomination's own"

"Mike Rose, pastor of Juneau Christian Center (Palin's church), is noted to be connected with the "Third Wave Movement"--a movement in neopente dominionist circles that is the major theological home of "Joel's Army". "

"In fact, he's quite closely connected with Rodney Howard-Browne, a major (in fact, for some years, the major promoter) of "Third Wave" neopente dominionism, and actively promotes this insanity in his church"

More, at the link.

These people are insane. It scares me that they support Palin, Palin's pastor is a member, and they've called Palin a member.

Time to buy a few guns!

SQL, the DailyKos is an awful source for an credible information. Try to do a little better research and not fall into the Lt. Ripley trap of only posting liberal blog and discredited crap.

Palin's home church is The Church on the Rock, an independent congregation.

Here's a helpful hint:

Try reading something before replying.

I KNOW that her church is The Church on the Rock.

This official newsletter of an insane Dominion church:

http://www.alaskaag.org/index.php?option=c...load&gid=34

1. They invited Palin to a private dinner banquet to speak. Some quotes:

""Governor Palin spoke of her appreciation for the Assemblies of God and requested that the Council pray for both her and the State of Alaska.""

"The Alaska District Council believes that the State of Alaska is blessed to have a woman of faith and courage as Governor."

2. Palin's church's website(actually read it article to find it) has some interesting stuff on it...

"Destiny has begun! The new youth center for children through high school youth is taking shape. "

Destiny is often used as a buzz-word for Joel's Army.

Source? Note how much this Joel Army websites refer to "Destiny has begun!" or "Destiny!"

http://enterthefurnace.blogspot.com/2004/1...-in-alaska.html

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...iendid=95271022

3. Palin's Pastor, Mike Rose is noted to be connected with the "Third Wave Movement"--a movement in neopente dominionist circles that is the major theological home of "Joel's Army". In fact, he's quite closely connected with Rodney Howard-Browne, a major (in fact, for some years, the major promoter) of "Third Wave" neopente dominionism, and actively promotes this insanity in his church.

http://www.pastornet.net.au/renewal/journal7/evans.html

So, in conclusion, there is QUITE a bit of ample evidence that tells us that Palin's church is dominionist, the pastor is dominionist, and she is being influenced by Dominionists.(Who have endorsed her, invited her to parties to speak, etc.)

Next time please check your facts before saying: "lolz daily koz suzzx!!!!!11"

Cheers,

SQLserver

I've been to see him before... he's absolutely insane. He was also a child rapist I believe. This can't be confirmed because Canada won't release info on it but he admits to have committing sex crimes. In addition, he's just well crazy. The entire night he screamed, "Bam be healed. BAM BAM BAM BOOM BOOM BAM SHAKA BOOM BA BAM. TAKE IT TAKE IT TAKE IT. ANGELS ANGELS ANGElS. And he heals people by assaulting them. He calls it the divine head butt. One person he kicked in the face. He's dangerous. You can see some clips of him on YouTube. He's gaining huge support in a few months. One youtube clip I suggest is "Children See Through Bentley."

While this is true, I have personally attended a Todd Bentley revival. He's dangerous and evil and insane.
