McCain's health IS at issue

As someone who liked Ron Paul and wants McCain to lose, isn't it a bit hypocritical in that some people who support Ron Paul say that John McCain is too old to be president? They're about the same age.

Ron Paul is a year older.

A lot of healthy people also die at a young age too. When it's your time then it's your time. I've I've also know unhealthy people to live to be 80 so who know. Look at George Burns smoked & lived to be in his 90's or 100 can't remember.

Obama looks like a smoker.

Ditto on both.

There were two reasons I had a problem with your first post..

1. We are talking about Mccain and the other candidates health, you turn it into a attack on Obama's character...

2. Just the way to present your "criticism" comes off very rude and annoying, instead of attacking policies, you attack them DIRECTLY (with name calling and such)...

Again, I'm glad you brought that up.

Character matters. A great deal. Especially in a would be leader.

Obama does not get a pass on character, as much as his supporters would like it to be so.

His character would not be such an issue if it was not such an issue, if it was not so disturbing.

Why is it that his supporters are so blind to issues of judgment, character and substance?

Because he is so very lacking there?

So they insist we need to stick to the issues (and never question the content of his character).

Character counts. To pretend otherwise reveals a profound disconnect and denial.

Yes I attack his character, because it is worse than just lacking, it is deceitful, elitist, condescending... Pretentious in the extreme...

Unbelievable how full of himself he is.

"This is the day the oceans began to recede and the planet began to heal..."

You gotta be some kind of messianic mental case to go there.

His policies?

Bigger government is the answer...

Take from those who create wealth and give it to those who do not...

Same old Marxist classism song and dance.

Citizen of the world... (G.D.) America is the problem and is no longer much to be proud of and we're so sorry and hurting and blah, blah, blah...

All I need to know.

Rude and annoying?

I can be pretty harsh and that can come across as rude, especially in print.

The world can be pretty harsh.

I will also buy you a beer and stand between you and harm.

Which is much of what I'm trying to do here, matter of fact.

You may be annoyed, but I sure have your attention, don't I.

Thanks.

Of course character is an issue. And altho we might disagree on it don't you think it would be more apporpirate to keep that topic in its own thread and discuss the matter at hand? Health.

Oh and if you're gonna get me some beers that'd be great, just remember to get some for my friends... they'll pay..

And to carify its things like.. this

Same old Marxist classism song and dance.

that I find annoying. Anything west of your boots is some socalist/marxist/big red attack on family values and character and morals and such...

I'll try to keep to the matter at hand.

Many things are also inter-related.

Regarding marxism and socialism...

I'm trying to stem the tide of that which I interpret history as having shown to be mostly destructive. Some things may be appropriate for socialism, but they are the exception to the rule.

Obama has been soaking up Marxist influences like a sponge his whole life and it shows, especially regarding (but not limited to) the redistribution of wealth and class envy... You cannot elevate the poor and unproductive on the backs of the successful and productive. History validates that. Doesn't it? And of course I'm not advocating heartlessness. Some deserve help. Some need help.

But the victimhood mentality... The entitlement mentality... Very destructive.

As the democrats are increasingly beholden to the hard left and that left presses in, I press back.

Education, the old media, entertainment...

The more entrenched the left has become there, the more the results compel more of us to push back.

Some values and morals and traditions are worth conserving.

One should not throw out the baby with the bath water.

Who? What help?

The truly disabled , for instance, deserve and need help...

Private help if possible, (socialized) help if necessary.

I'm not advocating a totally heartless model, that's all.
