crosis Posted October 22, 2002 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2002 WASHINGTON -- A burial box found in Israel that dates to the first century could be the oldest archaeological link to Jesus Christ, according to a French scholar whose dramatic findings were published Monday. http://www.timesunion.com/AspStories/story.asp?storyID=64001&category=FRONTPG&newsdate=10/22/2002

odinsupreme Posted October 24, 2002 #5 Share Posted October 24, 2002 I think it's real. Or at least, it could be real. I think Jesus really existed, but he wasn't the figure, the bible made of him. Odin

Kismit Posted October 26, 2002 #7 Share Posted October 26, 2002 Nice find Crosis, My year 11 art teacher told me of some scrolls that had been found in a cave only a few years ago which where also related to the bible , these scrolls a pparently discredited some of the miracles in the bible and made Jesus appear to be just as normal as the rest of us . One thing I remember her saying was that the scroll or scrolls declared that back then in Israel the term virgin actually meant unmarried , which makes the whole virgin mother thing a little more realistic. Im off to see if I can find a link for you.
Kismit Posted October 26, 2002 #8 Share Posted October 26, 2002 O.K. I found heaps of information on the Dead Sea Scrolls but they are not the ones I am looking for. The scrolls I am looking for where discovered in the early 1980's and where discovered in a cave near th ewater not on an arid platue, platoue grrrrrr big rocky thingy.
