Black Fuzzy Orbs like a Kush Ball

We live in a beautiful age! Back in the day if someone were to experence something remarkable such as the orb vision they'd prolly never find out that there are others out there who have seen it too. You'd prolly just think you were crazy... or a witch :-/.. any way. I was lying in bed a few hours ago durring my lunch break just staring at the ceiling and relaxing. My kitten was next to me. All of a sudden she freaked out and started attacking my arm. When I turned to look at her I noticed a foggy black orb. It looked to me like several spiders repeling and weaving a ball. Then I realized they werent spiders. And it looked like one of those balls you'd get at the discovery store, the ones that start small and expand when you throw them and then fold in when you catch them.. any way.. it stayed there slowly rotating for what had to be 20 seconds at least. I was so facinated I couldnt move. Then it slowly started to drift towards my window. Thats when I went in for a closer look. but as it moved away it started to fade and then vanished. I've had problems with halutinations in the past so I thought I was just seeing things but I decided to google it anyway. I'm glad I did! I wonder what it was!? I guess we'll never know :-( All I know is that I hope I see it again.

P.S. In case this makes a differnce, The time of day was 11:30 am and my room was dark except for a small amount of light comming from behind my curtains also the house I live in was built over 100 years ago...

THX for sharing your story Dannoo13! I'm glad I'm not the only one that saw these things! I also would like to that black fuzzy orb(s) again. I have cats and I'm wonderin' if they'll be able to see these fuzzy kush-ball like orbs? Hmmm.....

Ok well I do not think I am crazy now after reading your post. Just last night my 5 month old son and I were sleeping in an upstairs bedroom and here lately I have not been sleeping well due the felling of a presence in my home especially when we are ready for bed. My husband and 6 year old son were sleeping downstairs and have never had any kind of experience like this.

Anyways, I have been going from a dead sleep to something making me wake up, very alert, and look around the room. I often ask myself what am I looking for??? NO idea.

But It was around the same time as your experience, 2am-4am I was sleeping on my right side and the only thing between me and the wall is my son laying against me. So my left side was up and his right side was up. I woke up very alert and saw this blackish fuzzy floating orb like thing above us. I wasn't scared I just thought, hmm I wonder what this is??? I didn't say anything but it seemed to float away up to the ceiling once it I got a good look at it. It was so odd that when I woke up I my mom had stopped by and I told her everything and she said get online and when I saw this post, I got goose bumps and knew I was NOT dreaming. I too have no vision issues and I do not do drugs either. Anyone out there have an idea what this is??

I just saw an orb today. It was tiny. There were 2 black rings intersecting each other like 2 ovals perfectly centered. The black was surrounded by a fuzzy grey. I was sitting in the backyard and I noticed a fuzzy thing floating above me to my left. At first I thought it was fuzz or a piece of a birds feather floating to the ground. After I noticed it, it stopped falling and moved directionally to fly over me. I had to turn my head to follow it. It then was about 5 feet away from me to my right. It was probably a foot or two above eye level. It seemed to stay there so I signaled with my hands for it to come to me. I smiled at it and was trying to look embracing and peaceful. It started moving toward me. Then I got up to try to catch it in my hands. When I got up I lost sight of it. Then I got freaked out and ran inside the house. I found this site and now I'm posting about my experience.

Wowie! The one I've encountered floated slightly above me to my left side for some reason... I usually don't pay attention to the floor area so I might just have to do that when I see one again. Hmmmm.

I've seen one too. A couple of years ago when I was working as a dental asisstant. I was walking into one of the operatories when I saw what my brain wanted to call a mouse, but was certainly not. It was black and "fuzzy", like a golf ball sized static orb. In my mind, I heard a static type of noise. It was on the floor and zipped along the wall and behind a small planter in the corner. I quickly moved the planter to see if it was still there, but it was gone. There wasn't any hole in the wall, and there was no way it could have hidden in the planter.It seemed like it didn't want me to see it. Call them what you will, but my personal opinion is that it was a spirit. The doctors wife had an office in the building with a shrine to an Indian diety and I think it was connected.

So i woke up this morning around 5 am to take my girl to work ..

I'm on my way to start some coffee i walk by the music room and the hairs all over my body

stand up ! ( Even as i write this my eyes wont stop watering..)

I look in the music and i see this blackish almost charcol roundish oval shapped object i

wipe my eyes and look again and it was gone.. i try the lights but wouldnt turn on.. as i turn switch

i hear somrthing move in the living area.. i'm alittle startled but i thought it might be my cat..

(Side note my girls cat wakes me up every morning to eat not today...)

I walk towards kitchen and see my cat under coffee table crutched down shaking..

I said whats wrong clementine? at this point im in a rush so i move on to brew the coffee..

i start the brew and walk back to check on the cat and all the sudden this dense blackish ovalish shaped figure

comes up almost through the couch behing the cat and disapears .. i go to wake up my girl because were running late.. i didnt say anything to my girl yet.. all the sudden my cat runs franticly in our room shaking and looking towards the door... my girl ask whats wrong .. and then i told her .. this whole time the cat is watching the hall like a hawk.. i have never wrote anything like this and to be honest didnt really feel like having to regester and all.. but i just cant sleep now.. i felt the energy come in and out..

I almost forgot one more imortant thing..

As we leave to take her to work i notice the couch had a deep indention in the cussion / pillow so i touched it and i daid wow its cold as i keep my hand there my girl touches it too and it seemed like ice my girl gets freaked out and runs out the door.. then so do i..

This has really put a damper on my day...

I should add the energy didnt feel bad but it does freak me out..

Okay so I'm curious... I have a cat and I saw two other people who mentioned a cat in their story. Any one who has seen the orbs and see this post. Do you have a cat??? I'm just wondering how many of us have had pet that have seen the orb too and what their ractions were. btw jaminjavajoe nice story!

i've been seeing these orbs for about 5 years now. the first one was in new mexico where i was living with my brother for three months after graduating from college. i was taking a nap in the middle of the day when i opened my eyes seemingly out of nowhere, and i say this because i wasn't really waking naturally, it felt different, like my eyes opened before i was quite awake - whereas normally i sort of wake up before opening my eyes. hovering above me i saw a glowing orb shaped just like a kush ball. it was a beautiful blue, but it made me feel a bit paralyzed, though i could have moved if i wanted to. like a couple of the stories posted before mine, it slowly drew itself towards the ceiling the same way a spider does, but it sort of disappeared on its way up. i definitely sensed that it became aware of my sudden awareness of it. it was hovering above either my head, neck, or chest (i can't remember exactly), but after throwing out theories of it being eye related, i was more inclined to think it was reading my brain waves or thoughts, as at the moment it became aware of my focus on it, it took a moment to stop doing what it was doing before ascending towards the ceiling.

while still in new mexico i saw at least one more, and about a year later i saw one in my family home in minnesota. in that same minnesota house i saw two smaller ones go by me on the left - in other words, instead of retreating upwards, they went by me horizontally. these two were identical, moved at slightly different paces, though were in check with one another, and were black and looked more like ashes or shadow, than the first one, which had a more definite body to it. finally i saw one about two nights ago in my current bedroom in san diego. it was dark and sort of decrepit looking, as it looked more like a brown stick-like kush ball with uneven tentacles that were solid, and not necessarily straight.

i'd like to know if these are spirits that are visiting my body/mind, aliens, or just some creature that lives amongst us unidentified. i'm wondering if this is a new phenomenon or if there are references to these things in say ancient Asian mythology...? clearly if i am open to these ideas, i am a very open and curious individual, however, i also give credence to the idea that it could be visually produced, possibly related to opening the eyes while still asleep and "seeing" the inner light on the outside of the body" and perhaps the momentary stasis and then sideways or upwards movement has to do with an image that has been burnt onto the retina and then falls away... i'm totally reaching here and there. eager to learn more!

I just found this site today as I started searching for answers about something that happened to me over 20 years ago. I look online occasionally, but have never found any stories of similar encounters until now. The night my sister was born, Sept. 18, 1986, my brother and I (we were 8 and 10 years old at the time)stayed overnight at our grandmother's house. We were excited about the news that our sister was just born, and neither of us could fall asleep. It was about 9:30 pm, and my brother and I were sleeping in beds across the room from each other. We started playing a "copying" game where we would tap increasingly difficult beats on our legs and challenge each other to copy it. At one point, I tapped an impossible beat on my leg, and before my brother could respond, the exact beat was tapped on the chair that was pushed in place under a sewing table about a foot from my head. The chair was wrought iron, and the tapping sounded like "ping-ping" as if it was metal tapping on metal. I asked my brother how he did it, and he said that he didn't. I told him to hold his hands up in the air while I tapped another beat. After I did, we heard the tapping again on the chair, and at that point, both of us became silent. I pulled my blanket over my head enough to cover me but allow me to view the chair. To my horror, there was a completely round furry ball suspended in midair between the bottom of sewing table and the seat of the chair. It was brown and looked like it was covered in fur. It was mostly motionless, but I thought I could see it move slightly as it was floating. I stared at it most of the night, and every possibility ran through my head - was it an animal? was it a ball of yarn? I looked for other details like eyes or a tail, or a string coming from it, but it was completely round and just floating. I was too terrified to move or even run across the room to my brother's bed, so I just stared at it all night. At one point as the sun was beginning to come up, I fell asleep for a short time. When I awoke, it was gone. My brother and I tore the upstairs of the house apart looking for it, but found nothing.

The following year, my teacher asked the class to share strange stories of things that had happened to them. I didn't want to talk about my encounter because I didn't think anyone would believe me, but many other kids talked about UFO's and ghosts. As I was walking out for recess, I heard a boy in my class- a quiet intelligent boy that wasn't known to make up stories- telling the teacher that something strange had just recently happened to him. He said that he walked into his bedroom and a brown furry ball floated up from his bed and flew around the room for a while. Eventually, it flew into the hallway and disappeared. I was shocked to hear that another child had a very similar experience, but I still didn't tell anyone about mine. Over the years though, I've told many people and searched online, but no one has ever been able to explain it. Although my experience was similar to the ones posted here, the ball that I saw was definitely solid, so I don't know if it is realted at all to the things you have seen. I've enjoyed reading your postings, and hopefully I will see more in the future! By the way, I have perfect eyesight at 33, and have never questioned its capability.

My family sees them so often, we call them tribbles from a Star Trek episode called The Trouble With Tribbles. When my son married his wife also saw them even before they met. However, as I sat one night talking on the phone, I thought I saw one coming across the floor at me and it turned out to be my escaped pet horseshoe crab covered with dust!

I have actually heard multiple accounts of this type of thing... I have no idea what it is, but this seems to be second only to the shadow beings in common-ness (In my experience in hearing about this stuff anyway). So don't feel scared or shy about talking about it - there are probably millions of people worldwide that have seen the same types of things.

I could think of one possibility... but to be honest, I think I'd rather it be paranormal than for this to be the explanation : Large spiders. Think about it - they are black, they have lots of legs (Koosh ball look) and they are known to swing on a web every now and then (At least if comic books have taught me anything they do)... But, being kinda bug-phobic myself, I would much much much much (X 1 million) it rather be paranormal than large, black spiders....

I just started seeing a blackish Orb a few months ago and i see it almost every morning.I have seen flashes of light Orbs for years in all different sizes and some brighter than others.The blackish Orb that i see looks like a bubble like you blow bubbles when you were a kid...and then it has a blackish color in the middle.It did appear yellow for about a week or so and then went back to blackish.I had a friend pass away a few months ago and i do believe that it is him.The color could be like a persons Aura maybe or could be influenced by mood...I have asked a few different psychics and they all seem to agree that it is him.Nice to see i'm not alone in seeing blackish Orbs.I thought i was needing to get my eyes checked

Update!!!! Boy am i glad i read this forum before i saw this!! I might have freaked out otherwise!! I just saw my Orb today and it looked just like how you have described it!! Like a black Koosh Ball!!! It must be evolving or trying to manifest maybe???I was so excited to see it!!

It lets me know that its not just happening to me, which is very comforting.

It lets me know that its not just happening to me, which is very comforting.

I've had lights in my bedroom, have never seen a black fuzzy one. I recently talked to my daughter-in-law about orbs, who's indigenous to a culture where this kind of thing is quite common. She said her culture believes the orbs are an energetic form of the spirits of what they call the Ancient Ones. But the orbs she's referring I've only seen out in the jungle, never in my home, and they are quite small, no more than 2" in diameter. The ones in my home were either bigger or smaller, and looked different. Have you tried communicating with it? I confess, I was always so startled to see these things that I never thought to try communication; mostly I just stood there with my mouth hanging open. I would ask why it was there, what or who it is, either verbally or as a thought and see if you get a response. You wouldn't hear a response, but the response would pop into your mind, sort of like a picture in your mind's eye. Thank you for your post; whatever these things are, they've been quite active lately on the islands.

There was a period in my life where I was seeing a lot of stuff that freaked me out, mostly because I didn't believe stuff like that existed and because it was unexpected. I ended that by asking that I see it only in my mind's eye, which doesn't scare me at all. A Native American friend taught me to smudge/cleanse my home with white sage to cleanse the space of negative energy, and that works for me; what's left is positive energy! I've studied with Native Americans, priests in the Ifa/African spiritual tradition, and spent many hours talking with spiritual leaders of various indigenous peoples, and done ceremony with them. Based on that, and all the reading I've done, I believe these orbs and other entities (spooks is my favorite term) are either guides, spirits of our ancestors, or helpers who have come into our lives for a positive purpose. Definitely I would smudge. If you can't get sage, use sandalwood, rose, or lavendar incense. Then try communicating with them, ask them questions, maybe they'll answer. I believe in the sacredness of mother earth and all creatures who call her home, so for me, these spooks are no less sacred than you or I.

Light orbs have been present on some of the Western Pacific islands for hundreds of years, and in Hawaii, as well, and I've seen them show up at Native American ceremonies, as well. On the islands the indigenous people are in community with them. They are acknowledged & accorded respect, people ask their permission before entering the jungle, where they seem to live, offerings of sweets are left for them. The explanation for the moving shadows close to the floor is that they are little people, like gnomes, leprechauns, etc., that can reveal themselves in physical form if they choose to. Thank you for your post. It's great to share our experiences, and pool our knowledge. I'm hoping someone will be able to communicate with these beings so we can learn more about them. PS: my kids thought their mom was going crazy until they saw the lights themselves. What a relief that was!

I was wide awake at about 6am on August 18, 2011...I came back from the bathroom and it "scurried" up the wall very gracefully and on to a high shelf in my bedroom and hid there. In my mind, I perceived that it was as guileless as a child, and it seemed afraid. I waited about 5 minutes and it peeked over the ledge, and I asked it who it was and told it not to be afraid. It moved to the ceiling and hovered there as I watched it, concerned that it would collide with the ceiling fan. It began to descend but disappeared just above the fan blades. I have been wondering all this time as to what it could have been. I haven't told anyone about it till now. I decided to try to find out more on the internet and found this site. I know what I saw. I have seen all sorts of colored Orbs with the naked eye ..red,orange,yellow,black,brown.Some look like they are materializing.I see them more when i am going through a tough period in my life.Last summer i saw them almost daily.I do believe it is all the same Orb that i have seen and shows itself in different colors at different times.It always seems to be watching over me.It makes me feel comforted .I'm not afraid of it at all.I tried to communicate with it and it always comes right up to my face and then floats into the wall.I agree with all that Beany has said about Orbs.I came to this forum after i had seen the black Orb a bunch of times.It is nice to know that there are many more that see these Orbs with then naked eye I got a picture of my Orb when i saw it and it came up just where i saw it and the same size that i saw it.Most Orbs in pics are dust,but this one is the real deal because i saw this one with the naked eye before i took the pic

My niece in Wisconsin frequently sees orbs, but lately she's been seeing blue ones, a first for her. Neither of us has ever seen the kush-like orbs. It reminds me of the things that hang around the ceiling in the movie My Neighbor Tortoro, sort of like kami.

It's nice to know i am not alone is seeing these Orbs with the naked eye.They are Very interesting and do respond when i try to communicate with them.It's proof to me that they are some sort of intelligence.I wonder what all the different colors mean. I have never seen a blue one.The Yellow one and the Black one i have seen like a regular Orb and in the form of a Kush Ball.The one i saw looked like a Kush ball inside of an Orb.I wonder if anyone has ever seen an Orb materialize into an apparition??? That would explain what they are .Mine have not turned into an apparition,only the Kush Ball look and the last red one that i saw looked like a red Orb the size of a dinner plate surrounded by red all around it like a red aura about the size of a twin size bed.It covered a large portion of my ceiling.Of course i did not have my camera!!Ugh!! I really need to keep that close by.

so i really dont want to sound crazy but whatever it is what it is..

So i woke up this morning around 5 am to take my girl to work ..

I'm on my way to start some coffee i walk by the music room and the hairs all over my body

stand up ! ( Even as i write this my eyes wont stop watering..)

I look in the music and i see this blackish almost charcol roundish oval shapped object i

wipe my eyes and look again and it was gone.. i try the lights but wouldnt turn on.. as i turn switch

i hear somrthing move in the living area.. i'm alittle startled but i thought it might be my cat..

(Side note my girls cat wakes me up every morning to eat not today...)

I walk towards kitchen and see my cat under coffee table crutched down shaking..

I said whats wrong clementine? at this point im in a rush so i move on to brew the coffee..

i start the brew and walk back to check on the cat and all the sudden this dense blackish ovalish shaped figure

comes up almost through the couch behing the cat and disapears .. i go to wake up my girl because were running late.. i didnt say anything to my girl yet.. all the sudden my cat runs franticly in our room shaking and looking towards the door... my girl ask whats wrong .. and then i told her .. this whole time the cat is watching the hall like a hawk.. i have never wrote anything like this and to be honest didnt really feel like having to regester and all.. but i just cant sleep now.. i felt the energy come in and out..

Really strange stuff !!!

I almost forgot one more imortant thing..

As we leave to take her to work i notice the couch had a deep indention in the cussion / pillow so i touched it and i daid wow its cold as i keep my hand there my girl touches it too and it seemed like ice my girl gets freaked out and runs out the door.. then so do i..

This has really put a damper on my day...

I should add the energy didnt feel bad but it does freak me out..

We didn't have any animals at the time of my experience.
