HUNTERS?

Recommended Posts

Here we go:

1. I don't kill people, nor do i kill vampires.

2. I said i have 'equipment' that could kill something of the likes, i did not in anyway say that i use it.

3. I highly doubt i ever would use it

4. The disease i know is not from a website or any comic. It is a disease that has been acknowledged by scientists. My friend happens to have this rare disease and according to about 2 doctors one of which was a scientist type doctor all acknowledge it as something they had never seen and the other said he had heard of it... and when one of them looked at a previous DNA sample that was taken for a reason i am unaware of and then compared it to a DNA sample they did, apparently her DNA had changed.

5. Fantomex, thanks for your support but i think you got it a bit wrong... i do not want to be or think i am a hunter, i merely wanted to know if anyone on this site 'hunted', 'killed', tracked or investigated paranormal beings of any sort. I said i have some friends who 'hunt' ghosts but not me!

6. Also once again thanks for your help Fantomex but: "or she won't feel welcome back" i am a guy! Haha my pic is probably confusing coz its a female but yeah, i am most definitely a male.

7. 'I give you a month...and that's a stretch' if you mean that in the sense that you believe it will be about a month before i get banned or something like that then I'm quite sure i wouldn't, considering i haven't done anything wrong!

8. "Perhaps you think it's fine and dandy having a 15-year-old kid running around hunting vampires and demons with weapons of god-only-knows what sort" Once again I do not hunt vampires and the weapons i have, i can assure you i know how to use. I am in the Air Force Cadets and am apart of a gun club. I am qualified and licensed to wield and operate an wide range of weapons, and when i do, i do it with great care, precaution and with the suitable safety equipment. I do not intend to ever use them on another human unless i join the military, but even then i hope that i never will have to take the life of another person. I am more qualified and experienced in the field of firearms and there safety than you so please don't tell me how i am incapable of using weapons responsibly. So maybe you should rethink the 'age thing' because i assume that i am more experienced than the average person...

9. And last but not least... Hypothetically speaking: if i were to kill a vampire, i would not 'grab something pointy', i would most likely get my .22 rifle, equip it with a sniper scope and put a silver nitrate filled bullet in the vampiric f#ck. So don't worry about the pointy objects rather than the bullets.

Yeah, cause I am way more terrified of the chair leg fashioned into a pointy stick than the fact that you own a gun... Mother of... Scientist type doctor? What field are you talking about? Biology? Physics? Is it a sandwich doctor... Nevermind. My friend, something has gotten crossed here. I thinks it's your wires. Seek counseling. I'm not being a d^(K I'm just trying to see if you understand that, you can't kill stuff, that's are peoples. I feel like I'm in a Fellini Movie.

BS. Absolute BS. Any such disease would be written about - let's see your sources.

Somebody is messing with you, doesn't know what they are talking about, or you misunderstood.

Hog-wash.

This "DNA re-writing" disease is right out of a movie or comic book. I know, because I'm a big fan of that sort of sci-fi fantasy stuff. But to roll into a community like this, and drop a bomb like he did? Not so much the good thing to do.

LOL! I think I know the movie your talking about but i can't remember the name .

Honestly and respectfully, to all parties involved, I think this one just needs to fade away. Nothing further to be gained, IMO.

Oh pleeeease? Can I have more fun!?

Bologna. Name it.

Read the forum rules. Keep up the good work. :tu:

I am in the Air Force Cadets and am apart of a gun club.

So what? Cadets use BB guns for practice.

I am qualified and licensed to wield and operate an wide range of weapons, and when i do, i do it with great care, precaution and with the suitable safety equipment.

Qualified by who? There is NO 15 year old licensed to wield ANY weapon. That makes YOU a liar, unless you have a reference. ( And I am NOT talking about a hunting license).

I am more qualified and experienced in the field of firearms and there safety than you so please don't tell me how i am incapable of using weapons responsibly. So maybe you should rethink the 'age thing' because i assume that i am more experienced than the average person...

 That's pretty presumptuous of you. I know for a FACT that I am more qualified than you. I can't speak for Moonie or any one else.

 Nice.

By the way, going "around" the language filters is considered a warn-able offense here. Already, you've violated the rules.

Well, I'm all done. You have fun now.

Getting back to the original topic rather than all the rubbish and insults:

There was a guy on here who claimed to hunt cryptids a few years back (I know I only joined recently but I looked up the thread out of interest). He's actually pretty convincing. I'll try and find the link.

EDIT: Found the link if anyone's interested - http://www.unexplain...opic=51273&st=0

One thing I do want to say - age has absolutely nothing to do with anything anyone says on here (unless you have a 4 year old telling you about their imaginary friend :P ) I'm 18 and I know adults twice my age with less sense or ability to reason. It's maturity that's important not age.

Not exactly.... I'll just say they're hunters. What they hunt is irrelevent and from what i've seen here, it would be wise to just not talk about it anyway.

then don't.

you asked if anyone here hunts demons ghosts whatever, but you don't seem to be content with the responses. what is it exactly you're looking for here?

I disagree. With age comes experience. Experience is what matters. That and critical thinking skills. Just like people who swear they saw a werewolf because "it was too big to be a normal wolf or dog." As an avid hunter, I can say with certainty that when something is alive and moving, it lookes much bigger than it really is. I have taken deer that I would have sworn was the biggest deer i have ever seen, only to realize upon closer inspection that not only was it not some freak mutant colossus of a thing, but not even the biggest one I have taken before. It just looks that way when you are in the moment. So when I see something now that looks huge, I can remind myself that it just looks that way from a distance.

Experience taught me that. People who claim that banging and scratching noises are demons usually feel convinced. A plumber who has spent thier life listening to pipes banging around behind walls will not think it's a demon. Experience taught thm that.

Being 18 doesn't make someone "stupid", but it does bring into question just how much life experience they might have. Not all cases are equal, but for the most part, it's easy to tell who is 18, living on thier own and supporting themselves, and the 18yo who is yelling that they are a demon hunter from a computer in thier parents house on internet they don't pay for, in a house they don't pay rent in, eating food paid for with money they didn't earn, talking about things which (had they been to college, or even done that well in highschool science class) they shouldn't espouse so readily. IMHO.

You're responding to a post from 2 1/2 years ago.

OK, got that out of the way...

Now then...

No one believes you "hunt" anything paranormal in the sense you seem to be implying. This is NOT a fantasy forum as you have seen by the nay-sayers coming out. Many here are truly interested in REAL paranormal phenomena. Thats' why so many come here. Saruman, who runs the show, actually presents some very interesting and compelling information regarding a wide array of topics. NOWHERE will you see any serious stories about Buffy-esque slayers though.

Now then...do you have ANY evidence or sources about this disease? We would all LOVE to see some documentation.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Lets get some perspective here. If you want to help educate this person on what is actually going on here, then do that, but don't be elitist, or she won't feel welcome back. Everyone needs to start some place. It may be that she needed some way to introduce something that she wanted to know about, and storytelling was the way to go about it. Don't be cruel. It's not necessary. At one point or another we all need someone more experienced to give advice. Ridiculing someone for being misinformed is as damaging as being the one who misinformed.

there is a vast difference between being misinformed and being full of crap.

Yes, experience and ability to reason are what's important. That's what I was trying to get across  But I disagree that being older automatically brings more experience. Someone my age taught to reason and analyse other people's arguments - in critical thinking classes or similar might be better able to reason than someone older who's never taken an interest in learning how to do so.

Just want to make clear this isn't directed at anyone. Just my thoughts. Most people on here (from what I've seen) are quite good at it. There's just a handful who are overly stubborn and state everything they think as 'fact' :)

Very true, and we're all guilty of it at times.

I'm sure alot of you are familier with Sam and Dean Winchester of "Supernatural" or Wesley Snipes in the movie "Blade"... Well i was wondering if anyone here is a Hunter of any sorts, whether it be a hunter of ghosts, a vampire hunter or a hunter of Demons. Does anyone hunt any of these creatures??? Or does anyone "track" any ghosts, demons, vampires etc.

Every now and then I will go ghost hunting when it's nice outside. There are a lot of haunted places around here. But I have never hunted for demons or vampires(I personally don't believe in vampires)or cryptids. Crypids would be an interesting thing to hunt though...I would love to capture the mothman some how..if it is in fact real..but I have never searched for any kind of cryptids. A lot of cryptids I wouldn't want to run into though...

Okay one thing is Supernatural is a TV SHOW it is all FICTION... They just take urban legends with a background story and there is Supernatural the FICTIONAL TV SHOW.

A lot of their legends about demons weren't very accurate IMO. I guess it depends on what you believe though. I don't like how they portrayed Lilith. But yeah it's just a show, nothing more.
