9/11 happened on Bush's watch. That says A LOT! He most certainly did fail. Don't go trying to act like he did something good because we haven't been attacked since 9/11. How sad a state of mind is that? Before 9/11 we weren't really worried about terrorists or anyone else attacking us on our own soil. George Bush steps in the White House and Bang! - 9/11 hits us.

He then uses it as a reason to invade Iraq - something he planned on doing before 9/11 ever happened. He's failed miserably in terms of working for the American people. As far as accomplishing his own agenda, well yes, I guess he considers himself to be a huge success in that regard.

Amazes me that people really support this guy.

Wow.... just wow. :unsure2:

Problem is when they do go in and fail the world will still blame America saying we should have been there instead!

Face it: The world loves to beat us up, except when Uncle Sam is handing out money.

Exactly! When I watch the world news and they are beating up on the U.S. I just think "you're all welcome btw...". They seem to forget how much they don't like us until they need money.

7 years of occupation.. Yep, he failed.

Some Iraqis, like some Palestinians, use the word 'occupied' to try and hide the fact they lost the war. Iraq is not occupied. Iraq was defeated. And how can anyone claim Iraq is occupied when the President of Iraq and the Prime Minister of Iraq are Iraqis, and, the Parliament and all Iraqi Ministries are controlled by Iraqis?

Iraq had absolutely nothing to do with terrorism... Dubya just used the occasion to settle some old debts.

Abu Abbas,a known terrorist who planned the Achille Lauro cruise ship hijacking, was found living in Baghdad after the invasion. During the Achille Lauro cruise ship hijacking dozens of Americans were taken hostage and one American was killed. Saddamm Hussein was supporting the global terror network. Saddamm Hussein was paying $25,000 to the families of those who did suicide bombings in Israel.

The Iraqis welcomed us and was glad to get rid of Saddam

Agree 100%. Here's a picture of US tropps being welcomed as liberators in Iraq in April 2003:

linked-image

He then uses it as a reason to invade Iraq - something he planned on doing before 9/11 ever happened

Bush never said Iraq had anything to do with 9/11. And did you forget President Bill Clinton ordered several strikes on Iraq? How does that fit in with your 'Iraq is all Bush's doing' theory.

Iraq is part of the Middle East. The Middle East had something to do with 9/11. Iraq is the crossroads of the Middle East. Iraq is the heartland of the Middle East. We have installed a democratic government in the heartland of those who wish ro do us harm.

As far as accomplishing his own agenda, well yes, I guess he considers himself to be a huge success in that regard

Success? Yes there have been quite a few successes:

Success- invasion of Iraq

Success- destruction of Iraq's armed forces

Success- occupation of Iraq's capitol city

Success- occupation of all of Iraq

Success- removal of Iraq's government

Success- free elections

Success- capture of Saddam Hussein

Success- death of Uday and Qusay Hussein

Success- death of Al-Zarqawi

Success- capture of 50 out 55 on Iraq's 'Most Wanted' list

Success- introduction of new Iraqi currency

Success- formation of the new Iraqi Army

Success- Iraqi army operates independantly

Success- more free elections

Success- formation of new Iraqi government

Success- restoring electicity levels to pre-war conditions

Success- more free elections

Success- 2,979 Iraqi Reconstruction Projects Completed

Success- 70% drop in violence since Surge began

Wow, you just bit it hook line and sinker eh? And I love the picture. Totally convinces me of the Iraqis love for us. All this time I thought we were hated by such a large majority but now I can see how wrong I've been.

This thread amuses me greatly. Thank you most of all, Supercar, for that picture. I think I'll print it out (or I would, if my printer was working) and pin it on my wall to look at whenever I need a laugh. It is possibly the funniest, and most convincing, picture I have seen since that of GW Bush landing on a carrier in 2003 and grunting "Mission Accomplished".

And, with regard to some of the amusingly gun-slinging gung-ho attitudes in this thread, I ask myself, there are still people who wonder why the rest of the world does not share the adulation of the US that they do?

:P .

The people who have been taken 'hook, line and sinker' are the anti-Bush,anti-war people. They are the ones who have fallen victim to the America-bashing propaganda and disinformation that floods the internet.

So since you can't disprove the fact that US troops were greeted as liberators you decide to mock and ridicule other forum members. Typical example of anti-war people making personal attacks when they can't argue the facts. No,anti-war people just aren't very nice at all.

I asked if you watch Fox News. How can you consider that a personal attack when basically all of your talking points come from there?

Personal attack? :P Who was that a personal attack on? :P I was merely saying that that particular picture amuses me.

Unless criticising the current US administration is, in some way, seen as an attack on anyone who supports them.

:hmm: ?

747, I'm shocked!

Couldn't you see how hurtful your comments were to supercar? How could you mock and ridicule him? Can't you see what a delicate, sensitive soul he is? He probably cries at every sunset, overwhelmed by the beauty of it all.

I think all this anger and bitterness needs to be let out. Let it out everyone...

*group hug*

Is there really any reason for this thread to continue, seeing how it's devolved into a propaganda charade?

It's not that you thought, it's what you wish and want to believe. So you get your daily dose of make believe news from blogs.

But once in a while yoiu can't avoid seeing reality, and you are grasping for that believing in something that isn't so.

Yeah, actually--that's exactly how it works. I use a wide variety of informational sources so that my viewpoint will be as unbiased as possible. Fox News on the other hand is practically pure propaganda. AROCES have you even been out of this country before? You've somehow been convinced that you actually know what's going on and I can't understand why.

And I'm sure you have watched Fox News and see the daily guest from both side allowing them to make their case.

And that is what you don't like, you prefer more than one news source but are basically all bias to the left.

YES, I travel yearly, and I see Mcdonald, KFC and Starbucks everywhere. So don't give us that crap about America.

When you're sitting on the far right, everything's biased to the left.

Funny, I thought everyone outside the US was at least one of those, if not all, in the minds of Bush and Palin.

Can you name somewhere that isn't?
