Just assuming:

What will be the consequences in America of the USA having the first black President?

How will this impact on the world?

Kind regards,

Karlis

Nothing really.

It's his ideology I am worried about.

The consequences in America is that there are no more excuses. All men are now created equal. Martin Luther King's dream has also finally came true. This is a beautiful day for America. All barriers have been broken, we should all be proud to be an American right now. Regardless of who you voted for, you have to be proud. We have came a long way in a short period of time. No matter what anyone tells you, this country is strong and it is only getting stronger with age. I love this country with every bone in my body and I know every single American does as well.

I'm worried about being able to run my air conditioner next summer after he's done jacking up electricity costs...

Internationally it means a hell of a lot. You had the rest of the planet hoping for this result.

You'll appreciate it when he saves the world from global warming. :tu:

I don't consider the Liberals and socialist of the world as the voice on the entire planet.

Ah, the eager and optimistic voice of innocent youth, with rose-tinted glasses! Hope you are correct in your outlook, Ginger. :tu:

I am listening to Obama's speech right now -- and guess what sends chills down my back?

The crowds' roar of cheering, which at one particular point sounded exactly like, "All Heil! All Heil". ... Hope I am drastically wrong.

Kind regards,

Karlis

I don't know about America getting stronger with age, but I do love this country and I'm proud of it. And while I don't support Obama, I'm happy to see enough of us have overcome racism for him to be elected.

Assuming global warming is legitimate, as McCain and Obama both claim, then the planet is in danger. If one of them stops global warming, they'll have saved the planet.

Hi folks -- since global "warming" is under a cloud of doubt now, the Spinners have changed the slogan to "Climate Change". :P
