I am so excited!!!! I live by Chicago and got to see the whole speech from him and it was really moving, i thought. I think he knows the consequences and it will be a tough road to go down! But i hope he makes us all proud! America will always remember this day!!! :devil:

People have the power to elect and change leadership.

But a true leader leads the people, you liberals see a leader as someone who checks the poll everyday and makes decisions base on it. That is not a leader, that is a right hand man.

Most republicans want to ban gay marriage. Gay marriage is protected by the constitution. (Amendment 14)

Anyone that has been watching from the sidelines, from other countries is impressed. There were a lot of celebration parties here in Canada, and I know there was also in Australia.

Guns aren't banned. Correct. I said many democrats wish to ban them.

Amendment 14 says that the government can't make laws discriminating between segments of the population. Creating the legal status of marriage for only some citizens would violate that.
