Telekinesis is one of few "paranormal" phenomena commonly held to have a scientific, rather than a spiritual, explanation. If it does exist, regardless of the mindset of the person needed to develop the ability, it affects things in the physical world, in a way that should be empirically demonstrable. Therefore I shall be approaching this debate from a scientific standpoint.

The existence of telekinesis has been argued over for ages. Is it real, or is it a scam? Many skeptical people who do not believe say it doesn’t exist. It this because they cant perform TK or just because they fail to believe in anything that they cannot see. The human body uses energy to live, the sun uses energy to create light and heat so why not learn how to manipulate that energy and use it in TK. TK is just simply the manipulation of energy to perform task without physical means. I will be taking the standpoint of personal experience and the testimonies of countless individuals that TK exists.

Since ancient times, people have been fascinated with the idea of telekinesis. The ability to move objects with one's mind isn't something many would turn down. Unfortunately, the only recent development of the scientific method, and ancient man's obsession with the supernatural, means that we can never really be sure whether the tales from long ago were fairly objective reporting, or simply myths - science fiction, if you will.

However, the interest in telekinesis has carried over into the present, and we are now well-equipped with the ability to identify and document the phenomenon. Telekinesis is observable, affecting physical objects in the material world. Therefore it should be simple enough to gather data on it in a laboratory. In fact, there have been several studies published on the matter, and even government projects designed to look into it.

It is believed by some that these studies have in fact proven the existence of telekinesis, however, they have done nothing of the sort. Most cases - usually the more objective ones - notably fail to demonstrate than anything particularly unusual had taken place, while the others inevitably have major experimental flaws - such as allowing the telekine to touch the object he is supposed to be influencing.

Simply stated, there is no reason to take telekinetic claims seriously.
