I think it had to do with rounding up the Japanese at the time.

That would make sense, certainly much more sense than ET.

Well, indeed the “Battle of LA” is one, if not the best events with a UFO. We can for sure call it a UFO since, no one knows until now what was that craft. They aimed the searchlights on the ufo and fire thousands of rounds of Flak. People saw it, some civilians were injured and some even died. I think I have some good sites with theories and facts as well as witnesses reports about the event, when I gather them, I will post the links here! Was indeed something at least extraordinary!!!

It indeed was one of the most ever documented events of all time in recent history and before a time when that stuff was deemed top secret,,;
