BS. Tell it to the lost souls in the camps. Did you like Hitler too?

No because I lost family in Hitlers camps too. Now go back to the history books and say then that this is BS.

over 500 confirmed killed palestinians

20% victims woman/children

what about the old folk, the vulnerable in society. they never get a mention, 47% of the population of Gaza are under the age of 18. so any casualty figures are going to include high numbers of under 18's

Its terrible though. shame innocent people are paying the price on both sides Palestinians and Israeli alike. due to the actions of (Hamas) a terrorist organisation or freedom fighters, depending what side of the fence your on.

Obviously there are some undercurrents there.. others who will benefit here financing.. instigating all this..

What puzzles me... (;) yeah I get puzzled easily ) is that all these people as well as many other citizens or emigrants from other nations..can live happily side by side in other countries.. ie : Australia.. yet have sharing issues in their own countries...? Why?

Wasn't Jesus.. who many people revere Jewish?

Decendant from many other historical figures who were also middle eastern.. like Arab?

some say Moses was Arabian..

Byzantium and the Arabs in the fourth century

http://books.google.com.au/books?id=mvQ8MK...5&ct=result

According to Arab tradition, Petra is the spot where Moses struck a rock with his staff and water came forth, and where Moses’ brother Aaron .

In modern research... they have found definite DNA link between Jewish and Arab The Y chromosome and mitochondrial DNA's in today's Jewish communities ..... " Experts find genetic Jewish-Arab link."

"More than 70% of Jewish men and half of the Arab men whose DNA was studied inherited their Y chromosomes from the same paternal ancestors who lived in the region within the last few thousand years. The results match historical accounts that some Moslem Arabs are descended from Christians and Jews who lived in the southern Levant, a region that includes Israel and the Sinai... Intrigued by the genetic similarities between the two populations, geneticist Ariella Oppenheim of Hebrew University in Jerusalem, who collaborated on the earlier study, focused on Arab and Jewish men. Her team examined the Y chromosomes of 119 Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews and 143 Israeli and Palestinian Arabs. The Y chromosomes of many of the men had key segments of DNA that were so similar that they clustered into just three of many groups known as haplogroups. Other short segments of DNA called microsatellites were similar enough to reveal that the men must have had common ancestors within the past several thousand years

So wouldn't they be breaking some.. if not all of their religious laws fighting each other... Not sharing..

I note also that 'hospitality to guests.. others' was very important in their culture....

http://www.jewish-languages.org/judeo-arabic.html

After the great conquests of early Islam, the Jews in the newly conquered lands adopted the language of the conquerors and began to incorporate Arabic into their writings, slowly developing, at times, their own spoken dialect. In the following centuries, Jewish varieties of Arabic came to exist all around the Arabic-speaking world, from Iraq and Yemen in the East to Spain and Morocco in the West.

In the late fifteenth century, Judeo-Arabic underwent a dramatic change, as many Jews, especially in North Africa, began to associate less with Arabs and the Arabic language and culture (this was less the case in Yemen, where strong contact persisted for some time afterward. This indicates that Judeo-Arabic did not develop along exactly the same lines everywhere.). This cultural development was reflected both in the linguistic structure and in the literature. Written Judeo-Arabic at that time incorporated more dialectal elements, and more and more works appeared in Hebrew. This change is crucial in the division of Judeo-Arabic into Medieval and Late periods, as is represented in the following figure (see Hary (1995:74-77) for more details):

http://english.aljazeera.net/news/americas...3547843799.html

Bush said Hamas was responsible for the latest violence and rejected a unilateral ceasefire that would allow Hamas to continue to fire mortars on Israel from the Gaza Strip.

But Riyad Mansour, the Palestinian Permanent Observer to the United Nations, told Al Jazeera that neither Hamas nor Israel was wholly to blame for the crisis.

"It's too simplistic to try to blame one side," he said, but added that the international community needed to act to halt Israel's bombardment.

"The first thing we need to do is to try and get a [security Council] resolution that will halt this Israeli aggression."

:hmm: I keep thinking of the articles I read on "Bush's plan to hasten the Rapture"

While the language of apocalyptic Christianity is absent from George W. Bush's speeches, he has proven eager to work with apocalyptics—a point of pride for Upton. "We're in constant contact with the White House," he boasts. "I'm briefed at least once a week via telephone briefings. . . . I was there about two weeks ago . . . At that time we met with the president."

I thought that Hitler had the full support of the Vatican.. and America???...

The struggle of conscience visible in these words of Sidney Warburg, son of one of the largest bankers in the United States, member of the banking firm Kuhn, Loeb & Co., N.Y., is the tragedy of his life. He was never able to free himself from his connections with that milieu, whose deepest motives he could never completely grasp.

Those words, spoken in 1928, perhaps explain what I asked myself in 1933, why he finally decided to tell the world how National Socialism was financed. In doing so he dutifully did not shove his own role into the background, but confessed his personal participation honestly.

When I received the manuscript from him, along with the request to translate it, I felt that the tragedy in the authors life had reached a final point, forcing him to make the honest confession contained in the following pages. This is me first step towards inner freedom that I wish for him from all my heart, because he has the courage to say in front of the whole world: "They made it possible, but I was their cowardly errand-boy !"

If the "poor world" and "poor humanity" -- words with which the author ends his work -- do not understand his cry, then his admission was an act of courage, which was necessary to make it. To have this courage means to break with old circles and to expose former friends to the world as men without conscience, especially while revealing one's own full, undisguised participation in the process.

Hitler had full support of America until 1941. The Vatican, seeing it's in Italy, of corse had full support from Hitler until 1944, when Il Duce Benito M. had surrenerd to the Allies.

'Hamas little rockets' ? Are you having a laugh ? The only reason they don't wipe houses out is because they are built out of triple-reinforced concrete, but they still make a mess. I would love to see your face when the siren went off. Is it comfy on you armchair ?

Hundreds of thousands off people running to bomb shelters day in day out for 8 years, yeh thats the same as 'throwing a rock'. Give your head a shake something has come loose.

The difference is, of course, that the Gaza houses are NOT built of triple reinforced concrete, the "mess" being made is wholesales slaughter and war, and "running to a bomb shelter" is nothing compared to being slaughtered in a war zone. And last but not least, Israel has got itself to blame for at least some of the Hamas problem.

If you were being chased by a puppy, would you want a gun to protect yourself?

Now what if you were being chased by a bear?

I would take my weapons in my car and drive away because I believe that most all life is precious and should be preserved if possible. You would, of course, shoot it. And therein lies our difference.

Just what Hitler would say, or Sadam Hussein. They would say so what, too.

So you are equating the Bush administration with Hitler and Shaddam Hussein? I wouldn't go that far but if you want...

 Well, no. I'd take my gun, use the materials to turn it into a helicopter and fly to safety

Nice way to bend the situation to avoid answering. You dont have a car available to you. Its either you or the bear. Do you shoot it then or do you let it kill you?

As Dick would say, "So what?".

You guys are sick comparing Hamas little rockets to the military might of Israel, generously financed by the US.

If Israel sits back and does nothing it's citizens die.

If Israel shoots back it's condemed. But the rock attacks stop.

Even a blind man can see the correct course of action.

No just tired of Hamas' crap. They've been trying to get a peace deal working, giving back land and providing aid, and in return they get rocket attacks. They finally said that enough was enough and went for the military option.

On the invasion itself I'm disappointed it happened but the air attacks haven't stopped the rockets. I only hope that the operation is a quick on and that Israel doesn't get bogged down. The faster they're out of Gaza the better. I only hope that they're able to hurt Hamas enough to make them lose their grip on power. The people of Gaza will be far better off once Hamas is crushed for good and all.

Looks like they are really going to go all out on this.
I hope not. If they do, Israel will win and the terrorists in Gaza will be dead and the rockets will stop so the Gazan's can live in Peace and then the whining american-hating terrorist supporters on this forum will have to find something new to cry about.

LONG LIVE DEMOCRACY! LONG LIVE ISRAEL! DEATH TO TERRORISM! DEATH TO HAMAS!

A lotta testosterone in here too.

IMO no military option will solve the dispute.

No matter how loud and obnoxious the GI Joes chant death to their enemies.

Notice how the chant Repo did above is similar to Hamas or Hezboolaa?

Its rather silly and leaves the poster in the same light as the enemy he opposes.

War is never a good thing to encounter and it's something that shouldn't have to happen but it does. The enemy is looked at the same way by both sides that disagree with each other. But when the fighting is done and the smoke clears it's never a clear solution on who actually wins but one side does and the other side looses. The outcome of the victory will be decided on who uses the most push and shove methods. This is just the beginning folks. I wouldn't be surprised to see World War 3 break out from our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and now Israel and Hamas. Terrorist or no Terrorist, both are looked at the same from both sides. Stay tuned to these wars ya'll.
