Yesterday the House of Priest episode aired. ANd supposedly there was a girl who was going to give birth to one of the priest sons. Apparently this was a great dishonor so she killed it after it was born and buried the baby outside the house.

What really gets me is while they were provoking one of them went out to supposed grave spot and started digging. All the while taunting and what not. This struck me as unethical. rude and just outright disrespectful to the dead. I mean its one thing to try to make contact but to do something like that has angred me beyond beilief. What do you guys think about this

And also wouldent that be bad it could anger the spirit to the point where it could cause some one bodily harm. It just seems like a all around stupid descision.

Yes, digging up graves is also illegal. But that show is so bunk, I wouldn't take it to heart. Remeber: GHI = "What was that?"

I also thought that was tasteless, i do understand the provoking part but not a baby's grave..

He was using a pitchfork, I don't think they were seriously trying to dig up the baby's body. Which was all they would have been doing. It's not a 'real' grave if the mother killed the poor thing and 'hid'/buried the body in an unmarked hole. It was a murder and a body dumping. Poor little thing. Maybe it should have been found and given a proper burial and marker.

Either way, I think all these ghost hunting shows are getting too silly and fake. It's very depressing to me, I used to look forward to watching. Now it's like watching a trainwreck, can't look away, but a very lame train wreck.

Sorry I missed the episode last night (Jan 28th, 2009) I went to a Slipknot Concert, what all did I miss in the episode?

I have to agree that even if your not seriously digging in the graveyard but just stabbing in the ground though it seems wrong that thats a method that they have to take in order to provoke the entities that lingered around the area. Digging a marked grave or unmarked grave none the less is wrong still because it's the remains of someone who cannot deffend their body they left behind.

I don't like GHI, they're very... exuberant. Their methods kind of remind me of Paranormal State/Ghost Adventures, and Barry (or whoever he is) and Brian are just no good. D: They bug the hell out of me, they really do.

The new guy with the dark hair! Robb, I think his name is.

He looks soo intense to me. He looks like he has “Crazy Eyes” and gives me the creeps.

GHI takes a walk over into the world of make believe from time to time, and I don't take it as seriously as I do TAPS. At the same time, I don't think he was really doing any sort of damage to the grave, it was just pitch forking the dirt a little in a simulated way.

I should say that I didn't mean to denigrate GHI or TAPS by stating I found it humorous because I have not really seen enough episodes to make an honest assessment, but there was a recent episode of ether TAPS or GH that was in the old funeral home turned museum (think) and there was this part where one of the members ( sort of a portly gentleman)

was on a ladder looking into the attic space and was spooked by something that caused him to jump and slide down halfway the ladder on his belly

if anyone remembers this and what show it was, I 'd love see it again

Correct me if I'm wrong but is that like the leader guy? Who's eyes are always 0_0 even when he is casually talking and what not.

That is GHI and what I meant by make believe. That Scottish gentlemen or wherever he hails from is always wandering off on his own and finding amazing things that no one can see but him....because he probably made them up. TAPS is much more credible. I suggest you watch the new season once it starts as you will enjoy it much more than GHI.

The leader of GHI also gives me the creeps for some reason. He just looks and behaves like he doesn't belong in the group. I am waiting for him to snap and go crazy, and start killing people or something....lol. He just doesn't fit right with the group, and I can't really explain why I feel that way.

Rule number 1 of any good paranormal group is that NO ONE walks around alone. The buddy system ensures you can't make up fake experiences, and GHI people tend to wander off alone from time to time. Every time they do that they lose credibility in my mind.

So in what country did this take place? Was it England? I seem to recall something about such a story, maybe read it in a book, but it was a while ago, so I have forgotten any details. One can read Boccacio's Decameron and find racy stories about randy monks, priests and nuns of the past.

Sex scandals in the Catholic Church aren't anything new, and I'm Catholic and aware of these things.Though in the past most of these such scandals dealt with grown men and women. Such carrying on can be found in Boccacio's Decameron, Marguerite de Valois's Heptameron, and of course in various anti clerical writings of the period on the European continet. It is aslo a feature of pornography in Catholic countries, like Italy,France, mexico, etc.

As far as the digging is concerned, there was no need to do so.I understand you can use dowsing rods to also locate graves. This would have been more respectful. If they did find some how this poor babies grave, it would have been nice for them to say a little pray for the baby. But that's just me.

I don't think Brian is back with GHI,.I thought he wanted to spend more time with his family. I'll have to check at the TAPS website to see who is in Ghost Hunters International.

The episode with Grant hurrying down the ladder was when they were at the Iron Island Museum in Buffalo,Ny. The neighborhood apparently got its name due to all the trains that ran through the area.Yeah,Robb the leader of Ghost Hunters international does have kind of weird eyes.

I think GHI is funny. When SciFi approached Jason and Grant and told them they were considering the new show and asked for recommendations, it must have seemed like a godsend to them. They could get rid of all the rejects and not hurt anyone's feelings, so the new team was populated with the worst of TAPS:

Brian - who there's no way for me to really describe because of the forum's censor program.

Andy - who's so annoying and arrogant he's inspired MTV Real World confessional type clips with people sitting there talking about how Andy p***es them off.

Donna - who they needed out of the way so they could upgrade to Kris.

and Rob - a seasoned long-term member of the TAPS family (from what I recall Jason saying on the GHI premier) who had never been on GH. I can only assume he was dating Jason's sister or something like that and Jason took the opportunity to get the guy shipped out of the country.

With the exception of Rob, the others all are very capable of turning a gust of wind into an avenging demon out to eradicate all life on earth (and do a lot of running around screaming like little girls during the process).

Now the irony:

GHI got ratings. No standard procedures, no objectivity, shows where cold spots and a shadowman in every room not covered by a camera and they got ratings. Then what happened? GH started getting more sensational. Grant apparently became contractually obligated to say "that's freakin' crazy" or "all the years investigating, I've never seen anything like that!" at least once per show.

Jason still acts like Jason he just doesn't shoot down all the BS evidence like he used to. If you look at him (and even Rob on GHI, for that matter), you can just see that he's thinking, "That's so stupid", but he lets it go. I think both Rob and Jason are hostage to the ratings and would perform their investigations much differently with more freedom.

Lol! Ain't it the truth!

I agree that GHI sucks. The one thing I've never been able to understand about their investigations is how they can speak in English and expect to get some kind of meaningful response. I mean, are we to assume that if ghosts exist, they are also fluent in foreign languages as well? The whole show just seems like a complete insult to its viewers.

Not much supposedly a cross appeared when the one said the lords prayer.

The Upper Most part of Sweden

The other thing was the story they told about the disgruntled preists wife dieing during child birth him taking her body leaving it in the room burying it then un burying and taking it with him when he moved seemed so far fetched its not even funny.
