Hungarian president Ferenc Madl greets his Israeli counterpart Moshe Katsav Police said that the attack might be linked to a current visit from Moshe Katsav, the Israeli president, who was meant to be opening the museum on Thursday. Hungarian television has been reporting that police have been searching houses in five different parts of Budapest in connection with the foiled attack. Police have not confirmed the raids. The new Holocaust Museum is a memorial to more than 500,000 Hungarian Jews who died during the Second World War. Hungary has the largest Jewish community in central Europe.
