Magician mail stunt admitted as hoax

A magician who claimed that he had mailed himself in a shipping crate from New York to Las Vegas has now admitted that it was a hoax. 'Wade Live' had posted videos on-line from inside the box to make it look like he was inside for a 26-hour trip aboard a UPS truck and cargo plane.

"A magician who posted videos online detailing a "trip" he made in a crate aboard a cargo plane from upstate New York to Las Vegas admitted Tuesday that it was an elaborate hoax. "It was a publicity stunt right from the start," said Wade Whitcomb, of North Syracuse, after federal officials declared the event a hoax. "If that's what they say, that must be the truth.""

LOL - this is local news for me. I think the guy should be responsible for reimbursing the money it cost for the federal investigation.
