A mysterious bear that was spotted roaming around Rendlesham forest sparking fears among local authorities that it had escaped from a zoo or private enclosure has been revealed to be a hoax. The bear was actually part of a promotion for an outdoor production of a Shakespeare play by the Red Rose Chain Theatre Company.

"A mystery 'bear' spotted roaming a Suffolk forest was a hoax, dreamed up by actors to promote an outdoor production of Shakespeare's 'A Winter's Tale'. The Red Rose Chain Theatre Company rescreated the play's famous stage direction 'Exit – pursued by a bear' in Rendlesham Forest, near Ipswich and posted the footage on You Tube. "

Now in my area they would have been Charged with filing a false police Report! And Ordered to pay the money for the time of the Departments Investigation of the incident. I did not see where this was done.
