You can blame Obama because it was his admin that signed off on the paperwork to do this crap. He's the president. I voted for him and I still think this was poor judgment from his admin. Just as it would have been Bush's admin fault if this happened a year ago.

Obama is always furious when someone embarrasses him. He's quite touchy it would seem when it comes to his image.

ha ha ha ohh so let me get this straight...a stunt like that, flying an air force one jet low over buildings in NY.........knowing it was an idiot stunt and would reak fear amongst the NY people <----what in the name of oval offices would make someone as SMART as Obama want to give permission for such an IDIOT stunt???

Yeaa like the FAA wouldnt defend themselves to say for sure their president DID in fact give permission LMAO yeaa right  now I am laughing LOL this is so silly lol

ha ha this doesnt makes sense.....its not even in the same zip code as sense LMAO......I guess if you are anti-obama and you dont like him as president...then yeaaa go ahead and point the finger regardless of the FACTS

Now your grasping at straws and you know it. Bush was at fault for the crappy way FEMA handled it (katrina) and they guy in charge of FEMA at the time was appointed by Bush and he failed miserably due to the fact he had zero qualifications for such a position sheesh man.

ST I think we were typing our responses to the hurricane comment at the same time :P I think I'm just gonna start ignoring AROCES because he makes ridiculous accusations and never presents a valid argument. I think it's done for shock value, Rush Limbaugh style ;)

And don't forget he was responsible for the tsunami that hit Indonesia also...

Yeah, FEMA should have known New Orleans was without a plan unlike Florida and South Carolina.

Oh no hun, my comment was in response to AROCES concerning an article written by a reporter bashing Obama because his campaign plane was smelly during the election. And as far as the NYC incident, even with all that proof you posted, AROCES, and people like him will still try to find a way to blame this Obama, it's just how some people think.

Nope, we all agree it's Bush fault, no way it can be Obama's fault.

The director of the White House military office, Louis Caldera, took the blame a few hours later. One of the planes was a 747 that is called Air Force One when used by the president.

"Last week, I approved a mission over New York. I take responsibility for that decision," Caldera said. "While federal authorities took the proper steps to notify state and local authorities in New York and New Jersey, it's clear that the mission created confusion and disruption. I apologize and take responsibility for any distress that flight caused."

Wasn't him but part of his admin, which of course he's the leader of.

It was actually the Governor that did a shittay job, he is the one who should have been held responsible for HIS state, but instead Bush took 100% of the blame.

FEMA did do a crappy job, and was highly un-prepared, but if the Governor did his job to start with, and made sure EVERYONE was evacuated after they were given tons of warnings and tons of time to evacuate, it never would have been as bad as it was.

I’m not saying Bush has no blame in this, but he got all the blame and that’s not accurate. That’s why we have Governors and Mayors and City Managers, because our president can’t be everywhere at all time.

Hello Pot..Meet the Kettle. :P

Now you can't blame someone for something you do yourself. It seems all your replies are right out of the liberal hand-book.

It's a little hypocritical dont ya think?; I have yet to hear you say anything negative about Obama. I know you despise Republicans and Conservatives, and let it be known every chance you get.

If you are talking to a fellow liberal you are all warm and fuzzy. If not watch out, your like an attack dog. ^_^

And I mean that in the highest respect. You have warmed up to me a tiny bit. LOL :)

:PI disagree, It's just that us Liberal's are right so often that I don't have any bad examples to use

B) No but seriously, like I said before, I am not blind to the faults of my party I realize they make mistakes as well, and in my last reply to you I told you that I was also wary of all the money he was planning on spending but I think it's to soon to tell how it will turn out....did you forget that quickly? I just get annoyed when the Right gets petty and jump on Obama and the Left for any little thing they can get they're hands on, i.e... having tea parties and such against the bailout spending when Bush was the actual person who signed off on the bailout and left it as a parting gift to tax payers as he was leaving office....where were the protesters then. That and many more examples is why I think of the right as a bunch of mindless robots who can't or wont think for themselves, they are content being fed they're personal views and political opinions by Fox news and Republican talking points.

Man you are something else :P No one blamed Bush for a hurricane, you are clearly exagerating and you know it. Bush was critisized for the slow response time to sending aid to the victims of the hurricane.....do you see the difference :tu:

Yeah sure, it is Bush fault that accessing Hurricane victims after a Hurricane took long.

I mean Bush should have ordered the roads to be cleared right away of debri, mud, water and damage in an hour, right?

When was the last time the country had a Hurricane drill or exercise? The funny thing is the State of Lousiana had no fault on any of it, all because of the Governor was a Democrat.

Because they didnt get his permission...this is why he was furious...I know I would be....heck I may not be smart but even I know that - the stunt these idiots pulled was absolutely STUPID and down right inconsiderate of the new yorkers that saw it...I mean WTF???

I dont think Obama should allow those who did give the go ahead, to remain part of his staff...he should fire them...

Okay I’m just glad we are at an agreement that anything that happens on any Presidents watch is THAT Presidents fault. Except for the Obama Administration of course!

Does this rule only apply to the Bush Administration? I bet it does!!!

I highly doubt anyone would approve that without briefing the President. Isn't it the job of the PR person to give suggestion and then the President decides?

I think this is a simple Obama goof.

Ok now I will admit that I assumed Obama's plane smelled due to sewage but that was my own conclusion. So to be fair, here is the very biased and ridiculous piece of literature in question for all to read and judge for themselves ;)

(CBS)
From CBS News' Dean Reynolds:

(NASHVILLE, TENN.) - After most of the previous 12 months covering Barack Obama's campaign for the presidency, it was interesting, instructive and, well, relaxing to follow John McCain for the last few days. The differences between the two are striking.

Obama is the big time orator, McCain is the guy who struggles with a teleprompter or even note cards strategically placed nearby. Obama's crowds are larger, more enthusiastic. McCain's events are smaller, but to my eye, better choreographed. And now with the addition of Sarah Palin to some of his events, McCain can boast of crowds that match Obama's in energy.

There is an urgency to the McCain campaign now that I don't think was there before. Due to the fact that he is running second, no doubt, but it may also be because McCain has a finishing kick. Whatever the case, he is sharper on the stump than he was before. (Though I would suspect a candidate running behind would want to schedule two or three appearances per day, instead of the one McCain usually does.)

It is true that McCain enjoys taking questions from the audience in town hall-style settings. That doesn't mean he is the master of that kind of forum, it just means he's good at it. He likes to converse with voters. Obama does it well too, but seldom achieves that intangible bond with the people that all politicians crave -- or fake.

Behind the scenes, where the public is not allowed, there are other differences.

Obama's campaign schedule is fuller, more hectic and seemingly improvisational. The Obama aides who deal with the national reporters on the campaign plane are often overwhelmed, overworked and un-informed about where, when, why or how the candidate is moving about. Baggage calls are preposterously early with the explanation that it's all for security reasons.

If so, I would love to have someone from Obama's campaign explain why the entire press corps, the Secret Service, and the local police idled for two hours in a Miami hotel parking lot recently because there was nothing to do and nowhere to go. It was not an isolated case.

The national headquarters in Chicago airily dismisses complaints from journalists wondering why a schedule cannot be printed up or at least e-mailed in time to make coverage plans. Nor is there much sympathy for those of us who report for a newscast that airs in the early evening hours. Our shows place a premium on live reporting from the scene of campaign events. But this campaign can often be found in the air and flying around at the time the "CBS Evening News with Katie Couric" is broadcast. I suspect there is a feeling within the Obama campaign that the broadcast networks are less influential in the age of the internet and thus needn't be accomodated as in the days of yore. Even if it's true, they are only hurting themselves by dissing audiences that run in the tens of millions every night.

The McCain folks are more helpful and generally friendly. The schedules are printed on actual books you can hold in your hand, read, and then plan accordingly. The press aides are more knowledgeable and useful to us in the news media. The events are designed with a better eye, and for the simple needs of the press corps. When he is available, John McCain is friendly and loquacious. Obama holds news conferences, but seldom banters with the reporters who've been following him for thousands of miles around the country. Go figure.

The McCain campaign plane is better than Obama's, which is cramped, uncomfortable and smells terrible most of the time. Somehow the McCain folks manage to keep their charter clean, even where the press is seated.

The other day in Albuquerque, N.M., the reporters were given almost no time to file their reports after McCain spoke. It was an important, aggressive speech, lambasting Obama's past associations. When we asked for more time to write up his remarks and prepare our reports, the campaign readily agreed to it. They understood.

Similar requests are often denied or ignored by the Obama campaign aides, apparently terrified that the candidate may have to wait 20 minutes to allow reporters to chronicle what he's just said. It's made all the more maddening when we are rushed to our buses only to sit and wait for 30 minutes or more because nobody seems to know when Obama is actually on the move.

Maybe none of this means much. Maybe a front-running campaign like Obama's that is focused solely on victory doesn't have the time to do the mundane things like print up schedules or attend to the needs of reporters.

But in politics, everything that goes around comes around.
