Finally... if there is one religious organization I have zero tolerance for, its Scientology.

Perhaps we should all throw off the yoke of religions and join the Church of the Sub-Genious! Smoking Bob loves you more than you can possibly know! O.K., so, that one is only half a joke. There really is a Church of the Sub-Genious.... google it yourself!

all churches should be done for fraud. all organised religion to be more accurate.

How do we all feel about the "Lord Umbarger Pass the Hat Foundation Church and Synagogue"??? All we ask is that you pay your tiths every week and that you only pay in denominations of $50's and $100's! Is everyone on board with that so far? LOL!

Yeah, I know. I'm so-o-o-o-o going to hell, ain't I? LOL

Google "ScientLOLojyuuichi!!" and watch the video! :D

The woman said she was approached in a Paris street by a Scientologist in late 1998 who offered a free personality test, at a time when she was feeling psychologically fragile.

Sounds like most religions out there... Prey on the weak, innocent and vulnerable as parasites on society and our humanity. They shouldn't be banned but there should be legal protections for those that get screwed by them.

Look at ShamWow Vince, that poor guy had his life ripped apart and turned upside down by the church of Scientology.

Good news. While I have no problem with the beliefs themselves (hey believe what you want) the way the Church is run borders on criminal.

she was manipulated into handing over 20,000 euro ($36,000) for costly Scientology products, such as an "electrometer" to measure mental energy.

I like this one! It would be interesting to use this electrometer on some of their Hollywood celebrities... But the electrometer idea is absolutely great, even Gypsies never reached that far.

Scientology is one big con.

I can't believe people fall for it..

One time, I had a landlord who was heavily into scientology- and it was a right pain in the ***..

Yay.

I dislike Scientology. When I first heard about it. I thought it was a cult. I still think it's s cult. Crazy cult really. I've heard some things about what they believe in. It's just simply crazy.

My complaint isn't their belief system. As an atheist I think it is just as crazy as most the others out there.

I hate the actions they take with their members, the secrecy regarding their doctrine, the fact that an individual must pay to learn how to be "saved" the $cientology way, the actions regarding ex-members and the fact that they practice medicine and give out medical advice without being doctors.

Oh, and that they are tax exempt when they clearly shouldn't be.

Oh, and they broke federal law.

*grumble*

Well, hopefully Tom Cruise will snap the **** out of it now. Is it me, or do some new forms of "religion" that came about over the past 30-50 years...should they even be called a "religion?" I mean hell, I would almost think that a "true" religion of sorts needs to be at least a few hundred years old. Who knows though.

Scientology is guilty of things much worse than fraud  I hope France follows suit with Germany and bans Scientology as well. I don't really refer to Scientology as a religion as it was created on a bet and it was desighned to be about money and control. It's a cult in my eye's and I hope Tommy boy gets arrested for being there Messiah !

That is how I feel. They demand money to help their members. Not ask, they demand. And they are always so high pressure.

Well, hopefully Tom Cruise will snap the **** out of it now.

I heard yesterday that "Fresh Prince" Will Smith and Jada are Scientologists now. I think they are not public about it, but they did just open a Scientology belief based school.

Really? damn...that sucks, no offense, but I hope you're wrong, I have a lot of respect for will and his wife. It'd be very dissappointing if they got wrapped up in this fad as well.
