Church of Scientology on trial for fraud

*shakes head* I really feel for the people who Scientology has bungled up. Some of the storys on that site are heart wrenching.

Ive often wondered how people could fall for Scientology, I think I understand now, they use your own better judgement and common sense against you, by making you feel unreasonable and ignorant...at least thats what Im getting after reading some ex Scientologist accounts.

I suggest right here right now to form an international organization "People against Scientology". Moderatedonations in excess of $1000 are welcome

Or you can give me most of the cash, and keep a little for yourself, and find at least 10 people to do the same for you. :D

The thing that really made me feel as I have to do something was that bit about that shawn guy. That stuff made me want to go on a murderous rampage, but I do not condon vilonce and Im of sound mind(just incase lol), I still cant believe that anybody would buy into this MONSTEROUS BS(sorry for caps but it felt like a good time for a shout).

I have to thank you again MirrorImage for the link, it proved to be most informative.

I found a wiki article that lists some known semi famous CoS memebers. Most are actors, actresses, musicians, there are a few of note however Stephen Poludniak, concivted felon, Elizabeth Eagleton Weigand, convicted felon , Doug Dohring, ex-owner of Neopets (had I known, neither my son nor I would have had accounts there), and former scientologist Charles Manson.

Im going to go shake my head and wonder if "they" really are trying to controll the world one bad movie at a time.

Well, can we be MORE SPECIFIC in the authorship of those links? Name, address... I have a feeling this info may have some material value if offered to the right hands. B)

That info isn't needed from any poster here. Follow the links. Their authorship can be found there. The material is all these "right hands" need my friend.

Manson took over 150 hours of Scientology courses, rejected it as too crazy, and then went on to murder a whole bunch of people.

Apparently christianity wasn't as crazy to him... That's what direction he steered into.

Scientology President: You see, Stan, there is a reason for people feeling sad and depressed. An alien reason. It all began 75 million years ago. Back then there was a galactic federation of planets which was ruled over by the evil Lord Xenu. Xenu thought his galaxy was overpopulated, and so he rounded up countless aliens from all different planets, and then had those aliens frozen. The frozen alien bodies were loaded onto Xenu's galactic cruisers, which looked like DC-8s, except with rocket engines. The cruisers then took the frozen alien bodies to our planet, Earth, and dumped them into the volcanoes of Hawaii. The aliens were no longer frozen, they were dead. The souls of those aliens, however, lived on, and all floated up towards the sky. But the evil Lord Xenu had prepared for this. Xenu didn't want their souls to return! And so he built giant soul-catchers in the sky! The souls were taken to a huge soul brain-washing facility, which Xenu had also built on Earth. There the souls were forced to watch days of brainwashing material which tricked them into believing a false reality. Xenu then released the alien souls, which roamed the earth aimlessly in a fog of confusion. At the dawn of man, the souls finally found bodies which they could grab onto. They attached themselves to all mankind, which still to this day causes all our fears, our confusions, and our problems. L. Ron Hubbard did an amazing thing telling the world this incredible truth. Now all we're asking you to do is pick up where he left off.

Christianity...

The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree.

Yeah, Manson isn't really all on base here.

Difference? you can get a bible for free (is that really a good thing?) Scientology'll leave ya broke and borderline insane, if you're alive at all. manson couldn't afford scientology.

At least you don't have them knocking on your door. Just like the local Christian churches, they have left their booklets on my front door.

Good thing I never open the door for unexpected visitors. And no, I have never contact them first.

Religious ideas are not for sale, especially for thousands of dollars a course. Especially when you can go on the internet and find out how the story ends.

*swish* :D

Just didn't see how manson really fit into here is all. And really an attack on the validity of religion is an attack on them all as they all share the same burden of faith.

Depends on what you mean by free and by the history books, I would say it's got it's own long dirty laundry list compared to scientology. Granted they've had more time but scientology isn't giving in to that excuse to try and do better... :hmm:

first scientology, next... the rest of the b*******!

all churches should be done for fraud. all organised religion to be more accurate.

edit to be even more accurate - all organised religions that ask their flock for anything.

Well in the end, he's still pretty screwed up either way :P

Wiki Bans Scientology

Interesting. :)

They think the internet is for them and all criticism should be silenced.

I think wiki did the right thing, they're just sick of people using their site to promote rather then inform.
