The longest-living married couple in Britain have toasted to 81 years of marriage.

The pair, who have two children, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, say they still have little arguments, but will always have a kiss and cuddle before they go to bed.

Awwwww.....bless 'em :wub:

Good for them, so nice to hear a success story about marriage for a change rather than ones where some cheater's had their goolies gnashed off and re-attached.

Congratulations, Frank & Anita :clap::clap:

Just occurred to me...what anniversary gift is it for 81 years? You know for example,ruby is...errr......50?? (showing my ignorance here) I know silver is 25 years cos as a nipper I wrote The Queen a poem for her 25th year on the throne and got a letter back from B'Ham Palace :lol:

But not a scoobie what you get for an 81st :wacko:

Definitely. Although I wouldn't really put in the "Bizarre" section. It's a rare occurance rather than something weird.

Ruby's 45th (my mum and dad will be on their Ruby next year), gold is 50 and apparently, the 80th is oak!
