He said it's how the Americans worded their side of the bargain.

You get the baby ! 237926304_dfe50524fc_o.jpg

The way I look at it, this guy did them a favor by revealing not only their stupidity, but the obvious cover-up, with regard to technology we should by privy to.

They should try and arrange an exchange of some kind for this guy. You know, one alien spy for another type of thing.

:unsure2: does this mean im smarter than obama? PLEASE DONT SHOOT ME 1+1=3 HONEST ITS DOES

My fault, I took it as "if the shoe were on the other foot". Doesn't seem very fair that he gets extradited though. Like they say, when all else fails read the directions (meaning I need to read the whole news article :P )

Read it. I remember now when this story first broke. Apparently he was able to hack into US militaries most classified computers and hacked into files that were "above top secret" like a UFO parts list for one. He was a UFO enthusiast who was genius enough to find the proof of ET he was looking for.

No wonder they want him so bad and the UK is cooperating in his extradition. (sorry, just thinking out loud). He succesfully hacked his way to the holy grail, so to speak.

This is serious folks, but I read where he is being extradited under an anti-terrorism law.. and that's a load of bullfeathers. My opinion is, if anything the militaries of the UK and US should hire him to hack into their systems so they can find ways to make them more secure.

If anyone here wants to help in persuading the UK govt. to halt extradition here is the link:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11...y-petition.html

Saru, I know it's a petition link, and more than likely against the forum rules to post it, but I feel people need to know how they can help fight his extradition to the US ( I'll beg for forgivness later :P )

I would sign the petition myself but it looks like it's for UK citizens only.

That is very insulting to people with AS And I should know because I have it. (If it makes you feel more improtant than other people to post belittling comments and be insulting then thats says all We need to know about your personality and current state of mind. but just be aware of other peoples feelings. He will not cope becaues he does n't understand socal situations and behaviour. Nor will he cope with leaving his familiar surroundings. And before you say' he shouldn't have been hacking' your also wrong. he was not hacking people with aspergers sometimes don't understand what is allowed and what isn't.

blah blah, all I said was Asperger sufferers like routine... which is true.. er 'sorry'

would you be so insulted if you found out Gary didn't actually have Aspergers syndrome and made it up just for sympathy?

If you had been following the case from the start, you would've noticed suddenly only recently has he mentioned 'AS'

which is suspicious, and imo a disingenuous cynical ploy.

Probably to target people like you, to rally around; it worked.

Also, it doesn't help his case that he continually lies..

First he tried the 'UFO community' for sympathy- blagging he was looking for UFO secrets..other than destroying files.

yep, using a 56k modem.. ??? he's reckons he 'found it' er no evidence, even though that was what he claimed he was looking for in the first place??

"er forgot to back it up?"

If you read his UFO claims, they're quite laughable.Nasa 8-bit ufo pics? list of a space fleet?

wtf?

Anyway, yes he should be held accountable, yes 60yrs is way too much, yes the US should present their case/evidence to the uk gov..

maybe they already have behind locked doors?

The article said he could receive up to a 7 year sentence.

nah, the legal case has been on going for seven years...

This legal case has been going on for seven years. We are involved in supporting his case because we think that in the light of his Asperger's syndrome that extradition should not go ahead.

you should know by now, I'm almost always right. don't make me 'ding dong' ya

ah haaaa haaaa

You'd think I'd know better by now than to try and prove you or Steve Winn wrong on anything... But if I keep trying the odds say I'll score one day..:lol:

60 years... yikes I'd be panicking too if I were him.

If sent to the U.S., Mr McKinnon is likely to receive a substantial prison sentence of up to 12 years, possibly served in a Supermax prison used for high risk inmates, and is unlikely to be repatriated to serve his sentence.

Far cry from 60 Billy... I was closer

Part of the extradition deal is that he won't go to a supermax either.
