I pulled the lever to vote because of ideology. I believe in the ideology of the Founders. I believe in individual freedom and liberty over the freedom and tyranny of the masses.

Our country was formed upon the premise that all men are created equal.

It is the bedrock and foundation of what makes America great.

We are not socialist in that we are mere single digits among the masses. We do not bough to a government that claims it can engineer our freedom.

Every man and every woman holds certain rights that are absolute in the eyes of the Almighty.

The democrat party was the party of slavery. It has been also the party of socialism and corruption. It is a party that still seeks to undermine the American dream that every human being is created equal.

I am a hippie. I am also very new age. but I am also very conservative. New Age Conservative Hippie. I wish to conserve the ideology of this nation's Founders. And Love.

You can't really say this.

"Our country was formed upon the premise that all men are created equal."

How long did your contry have slaves befor your claim? I forget but please remind me of this equality you speak of. If I remember, even in the sixties blacks had to ride in the back of the bus and drink from seperate water fountains. When did this equality kick in?

Our country migrated from other countries. Slavery was brought here before our country was even formed. Slavery and inequality at birth was also fought against even before our country was formed. We the People did not form slavery as apart of our Constitution. In the very orginal draft of our Declaration of Indedpendence it condemned King George for bringing slavery to America.

We 100% are a nation formed upon the principal that all men are created equal.

Unfortunetaly though the democrat party seems to always disagree.

What, in your view, is political maturity? Believing that every policy preference expressed by a candidate will become law? Refusing to take party into account when voting?

Many people also simply did not like McCain. Not because of the color of his skin or for his war record but because of his stances and voting record. By many he is considered a wolf in sheeps clothing, a RINO, or a closet democrat.

He could not articulate a conservative message at all. He had a slight surge because many thought that Palin would deliver that message for him but that is not how it works.

If conservatives overlook the primary process in any of the coming elections they will be again scartching their heads. They need to get real conservative candidates in the races.

Civil war started in 1861 and your constitution was written in 1787 almost a hundred years apart. Rosa Parks was the first black lady to refuse to sit in the back of the bus in 1955.

The term " All men are created equal was first spoken my Thomas Jefferson in 1776 it was not repeated until really, till JFK said it again I do believe as the practice of true equality took some time I would say.

Oh a side note the term all men are created equal was a democratic term not a republicans and no thats not because of JFK LOL

But... it wasn't thrown out until almost ninety years later, and it was way more than that before they got the vote. Do you seriously think slavery was forced upon the slave owner founders of the country?

African Americans make up about like what...15% of the population? How in the hell can the democrats only be in office do to a minority vote? Truth is a lot of white people had to vote for them too.

Lets assume for half a second that this post isn't ridiculous beyond belief....how is this any different then people voting for Busch because he looked like a guy you could have a beer with? Or all the people to vote based on whether or not the candidate is of their same religion? Or all the people who didn't vote for Obama because he wasn't white?

Sure...on paper, in practice we know that a ton of people had to be enslaved and a ton of others killed so we could take and build this land.

Slavery didn't fully end in the States until 1865...which is some time after 1776. The Slave Trade Act of 1807 banned the slave trade in the British Empire and the Slavery Abolition Act of 1833 which emancipated all slaves within the British Empire. Slavery and inequality were indeed fought against before the U.S. was even formed...they were also fighting against it in England and France and every other country, some even before the Declaration was even written and many abolished slavery long before Americans did.

We may have not invented slavery but we sure as hell liked it enough to keep it around for a very long time. Full Equal rights of course didn't happen until centuries after the founding of the country. If you want to consider Gay Rights as apart of it then it still hasn't fully happened.

All men were created equal...and then after they were born equal they were put into chains. They were to pursue happiness in the fields.

Sure Obama got the majority of the black vote. But blacks usually always vote for the democrat candidate. It all goes back to the dems promising freebies and handouts to them in exchange for their votes.

Or it could be that portions of the Republican party and its voters come across as racist.

About the same time it did for women give or take a few years. :hmm:

So you consider stealing from working people, and giving it to those who refuse to work, equality??

Its simple enough, the Dems work for the federal reserve. But to lay all this on Dems is rediculas. Republicans work for the same bank, And are just as responcible for the state we are in. The sooner people realise that both parties are just puppets to the real rulers, the sooner we can make some real change.

Health care should be a right not a privilege. It is not just those who don't work but those who work and make little. When I lived in Florida I had friends who couldn't afford to health care who worked and were professionals. Do they deserve such to have limited to no health care access?

Yeah really. They have equal rights to health care like everyone else. They just want you and I to pay for it.

Health care yes, health insurance no. You dont have a right to food, or clothes. Why should health insurance be any different?

Actually yes you do to an extent.

Basically what you are saying is that rich people deserve more no matter what.

Geeze.

Our government was not formed to provide things like free healthcare for its citizens.

It was formed to protect its citizen's freedoms so that they can freely provide things for themselves.

And you can't serious compare the 18th century to the 21st. The world has changed and will continue to change whether you like it or not.

The American government banned the importing of slaves because it was driving down the price of local slaves. Need to block those cheap imports in order to save the native industry!
