Science fiction breaks free from fantasy

Physicist Dr Michio Kaku has said that the world of science fiction may be a lot closer than fantasy to reality, with technologies such as invisibility cloaks, teleportation and time travel no longer being limited to movies and books.

"Renowned physicist Dr Michio Kaku says that the world of science fiction may be closer to reality than fantasy. So if you thought that invisibility cloaks, time travel and teleportation were for the silver screen only, think again. "

So if you thought that invisibility cloaks, time travel and teleportation were for the silver screen only, think again.

Well, that would certainly make revolution! ;)

According to Dr Kaku, most of what we see on the silver screen is possible - it is just a question of time.

We knew that....from the rate at which the world is growing! :)

Star Trek spacecraft use invisibility shields, and Harry Potter would have struggled in his battle against Lord Voldemort without his invisibility cloak.

Well, he ought to have mentioned Wells' Invisible Man! :)

"Remember Captain Kirk consists of 50 trillion cells, so a human being will take many centuries."

Thats an obstacle...It IS difficult to teleport that many cells..:)

"Stupid cockroaches are smarter than our robots," says Dr Kaku.

I liked that! The directors needed that! :D

Anyway, Dr.Kaku is getting our hopes up!

Thanks

I loved Michio Kaku's Physics of the Impossible!

"Unless there is a law of physics explicitly preventing a new phenomenon, we eventually find that it exists."

"Anything that is not impossible is mandatory!"

No wonder all these sci-fi things will become a part of our daily life. But it will take a lot of time for a Class 0 civilization like us to achieve such things.

Haven't read this one, but I've always found Dr. Kaku fascinating.

Teleportation technology still has a long way to go, who knows how stable it would be if it did come into existence.
