Wow, I love how your trying to disprove everything.

You seem to be confused. No one is trying to disprove what you are saying. What some of us are trying to do is validate your story with some type of credible evidence. No one can prove that your story didn't happen, as no one (at least that I know) can prove a negative. What we are trying to do is get a feeling for the circumstances under which your experience occurred, and offering alternative theories on the events. Certainly you couldn't begrudge someone having their own thoughts on an issue heard and evaluated, when you are trying to accomplish the same thing.

Well I'm late to this party so most of what I say has probably already been said, but I just can't help myself.

First off, I'm an open-minded person. I believe that pretty much anything is possible but I think it's best to approach everything with a healthy amount of skepticism. I want evidence or at the very least a plausible or convincing story. Neither or which seem to apply to yours, and I'm someone who's had really odd experiences with Ouija boards. Maybe you're making this entire thing up, maybe it really did happen. But after the first few sentences or so it loses any credibility in my eyes. I'm not saying you're preaching but it just sounds like the same old fire and brimstone warning about Hell that I've always heard. Someone mentioned Dante's Inferno earlier, and it's like that just modified to be more modern and far less eloquent. A different story with the same overall message. Again, not saying you made it up, just stating why it's difficult for me to believe.

Now, assuming any of it is true, I think your friend or whoever is just influencing the board. As for the things being thrown around, maybe there's just a good old fashioned haunting going on. Maybe it's some prankster ghost trying to scare you guys, which it's apparently succeeding at. You can't know for sure. It's not like you've ever seen "Drew". If it is a spirit (demon, ghost, whatever) that you're communicating with, it could be anything.

And there is beer in hell because beer is an invention by the devil used to poison a human because we tend to be stupid when we are drunk and easy to manipulate (but wine is created by god and not to be overly consumed like beer).

The devil invented beer? Really? He made his own little brewery and had his demons go spread the word about how delicious it was? Or did he just put hops and yeast and such on earth so we'd eventually discover it? And God invented wine? I've seen more people get drunk off that than I have beer. This is just silly.

Also, calling scientists "baffoons" is ridiculous. I don't really think I should have to explain why either.

scientists are baffoons

they are like a 2 year old child who plays with shaped blocks that go into the shaped open spaces. when the child figures out that the square dosnt go intot he scircle and the square goes into the square and they feel victory.

they dont care how the blocks got there or why the shapes fit they just feel smart for realizing the sqaure fits the sqauare and they feel big and proud

wow.

one of the most uneducated statements ive ever heard in my life.

although, id like some classification on 'scientists'. who falls into your vast catagory?

your "scientists" try to explain things with whats infront of us, and whats around us, and what makes up our world and universe, without having to make up other beings to explain what we cannot at a current time.

they dont try to shove things in places that cannot fit. when that happens, they start over again and work on Another theory to solve their problem, by rearranging blocks, constantly updating their work with new information to give us the explanations we need on how the world works. what science Always wants to know is How something Happens and Why something Happens. so dont spew out BS saying that they dont.

clearly youre unaware of how science works.

I'm curious about the OP - or his friend, rather, that is getting the messages - is he using an Ouija board with someone else or by himself, solo? Either way, I think it's obvious either his own personal framework of beliefs, or those of his family, etc. that he is familiar with, are very, very strongly influencing the sessions.

The subcncious is powerful enough IMHO to affect a sitting at the ouija board. Without really knowing it a person might be moving the planchette (I think thats what its called) because of the subconcious. To negate any possibility that a person is spelling the words conciously or not, they should be blindfolded during a session and see what comes about.

Hey guys, I'm sitting in my office at work and you wouldn't believe what happened - Chairs and computer monitors starting flying around and my fellow co-workers started speaking to me in tongues. A moment later, a portal to "hell" opened and in stepped my dead grandfather and Satan himself. My grandfather warned me not to ever go skinny dipping in the river by my house, saying it could lead to "wicked currents" or some "nasty infections". Soon after, my grandfather and his escort exited, and the building caught on fire. That's exactly what happened. Don't question it or I will be very upset and possibly say offensive things...

On a serious note, why is Big Chief getting this much attention over something with absolutely no credibility. It sounds like ghost stories I used to create as a small child when I would try to frighten my friends. Its just silly...

My co-workers often speak in tongues, especially when the internet goes down!

Because he came here to post his story/account/claim (or that of his friend), to share a paranormal experience with other people (ideally anyway), and hopefully will also learn a number of things about UM and other posters and mindsets and points of view, and alternate explanations, etc. Was a bit of a rough start but seems to be somewhat leveling out - I think.

As for why I'm posting in it, I like posting about Ouija stuff I guess, and am taking people at face value most of the time, just because I'd like to think people come here when they actually do need help or want to learn or share something.

Real ouija sessions on videotape:

This man below, MadHobbit, has like over 20 ouija sessions on video on youtube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHcI2d1isRU

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBe44To_QHs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQWFd6G2BLY

Also, I have some more new info. from my friend on page 1....**************

I'm sorry, but if you do a little more digging on madhobbit, you'll find he has been debunked by several other youtube users (haunted hoax is one of them) and read his comments!

He deletes any comments that don't fit in with the image he wants to others to perceive. You'll find not one-single comment that refutes his claims (whether profane or not) of his having contacted spirits. Or if you do see an opposing comment, you won't bext time you check for it.

He uses several methods to contact spirits and all of them (IMO) are far too ambiguous as to be classed as positive evidence. Anyone can wield a camera, Ouija and come up with a good story as we are all saturated creatively by movies, books and other peoples thinking.

I believe that results from a Ouija are: The idometer effect, pareidolia and other forms of sense perception such as synaesthesia, suggestion, our own internal models, creativity; and physiological responses by the soma senses, to the events occurring at the time.

When searching for an answer to something, you have to look at everything! not just at the question itself.

I used to believe Ouijas worked undoubtedly to contact spirits and the minds of others. Until I started to spread my interest into psychology and other non fiction subjects. Then my eyes were opened.

I have yet to be convinced now, that Ouija really does contact the spirit world.

1 - welcome to UM

2 - problem with that story, there is no hell (well, 99.9%). so theres the first problem on how you know its not real.

i think you mean 'what Proof do you have', and the proof is the Utter lack of any evidence for it. and big problem, is that its something from the bible. that should dismiss it right there.

Wow. Could everyone hold their venom please? If you have something that directly addresses the OP, then please share, but sniping each other is pointless and distracting. Not to mention possibly scaring away potential members who may join us, but will instead stay away for fear being attacked.

I agree. Don't make a post that you are going to read tomorrow and ask yourself if that's how you really conduct yourself.

Brr it's cold in here ;)

*Removes the pitchforks from all the users.

Anyways like I said I have no reason to believe this story and I am usually so easily convinced lol.

This OP is obviously making up this story, its as if he is thinking of something out a film and using it a real life event.

I don't know if what the OP says is true or not, but I do know from personal experience that demons (or evil spirits, whatever you want to call them) are real. In my early twenties I played around with a homemade Ouija board (only once) and afterwards got haunted by whatever had come through that night. I managed to fend it off, but the same thing -- or something looking exactly like it -- came back ca. 7 years later, scaring me half to death with poltergeist activity. I've also seen a person possessed by a demon, and, and, and. Of course I don't expect anyone who hasn't seen it with their own eyes to believe me... but once you HAVE seen it, there's no doubt in your mind they exist.

just ancient biblical references?

either way, its 'how i role' :P

I can assure you it was *not* directed at you.

Ok, topic is heating up. First, to the people that say my friend's story sounds like a movie. Flatliners, Ghost, Dante's Inferno, Constantine and any other movie dealing with demons and hell are made to be as real as possible. The writers of those movies research cases of demon possession and hell stories so that they can make their movies as close to the real thing as possible. These movies are made to look as close to the truth, from their research, as possible... That is why you will see similarities in demon cases, those movies and my friend's ouija experience. They are all from the same cloth.. That doesn't mean that my friend watched each movie and pieced his experience together from what he saw in those movies. Look demons and possessions are real. A lot of research has been done on people who claim to be demon possessed and you can find this on the internet. The Exorcist was based on a true story of a child who got demon possessed after playing with a ouija board.. Just about every culture believes in spirits or demons..

The Chinese have their own version of a ouija board where they summon spirits and have a chair pulled out for the spirits to come and sit in. They also offer a cup of tea and rice to the "spirits". Many civilizations way before Christianity believed in spirits, heaven, hell, demons and the likes. Just because you hear your pastor mentioning hell does not mean that it originated from Christianity. That's so far from the truth. You even have the oldest devil worshipping group in the world, Yezidi Devil Worshippers, living in Iraq today. They even have/had stone temples in which they would worship "Al-Shaaytan" (Satan's name in Arabic). They were worshipping the Devil far before anyone heard of any Christianity and they are one of the oldest civilizations in the world.. Here goes another good ouija experience and this one is true from what I know of my friends story. It even comes with a picture that was taken during the ouija session from the smoke of the incest.. Look at all the demon faces in the picture:

You realize Islam post-dates christianity by roughly 300 years correct?

The "smoke of the incest"? "Look at all the demon faces in the picture"?

*snip rhetorical unnecessary ad hominem implication* I have no idea where you are getting this stuff; some of the time you seem rational and start to make sense. Then other times we get bigotry about the vatican and "smoke of the incest".

Hollywood is make believe, just like this ouija story. The reason they are connected is not because they both reflect reality, but because they both reflect story telling.

Please stay on topic and refrain from characterizing each others' behavior in an insulting manner. Thank you - AGAIN.

I believe in your story, unfortunately I do not think your friend is talking to his dead friend but rather to a familiar spirit/ demon who is impersonating him, a spirit of truth mixed with wisdom from below. However to avoid an eternity of damnation in hell one needs to seek out the Face of God, you can bring your testimony to thousands of Christians. In Ministry is where you should perhaps be.

i would really like for Big Chief to record one of his friend's sessions. record several of them when the spirit conveniently "no-shows" for the camera. oh and in the picture link of the demonic faces in the smoke of incest, i see only smoke. Smoke of Incest may be a good band name though.
