Record-breaking storm on Saturn

A vast storm that started on Saturn back in January has now become the Solar System's longest observed lightning storm. Thunderstorms on the gas giant can be as large as 3,000km across.

"A tempest that erupted on Saturn in January has become the Solar System's longest continuously observed lightning storm, astronomers reported on Tuesday."

Started back in January?!!! Thats a long time! :rolleyes:

Its nice that scientists found this out. It seems they are very curious and determined to find out these things happening in other planets. If the same determination is shown here, the can control all the hazards that are going to occur here. :)
