Pterodactyl missing link found

A fossil hailed to be the missing link in how pterosaur dinosaurs evolved from small bird-size creatures has been discovered, the fossil has a one metre wingspan and dates back 160 million years.

"They famously carried away Raquel Welch in One Million Years BC and scared audiences in the Jurassic Park series of films. But scientists, including Charles Darwin, have always puzzled over how pterodactyls or pterosaurs evolved from small bird-size creatures into the terror of the prehistoric skies."
